God Tommy whines about the refs so much, gets hard to listen to at times.

That was a nice half overall, good to have KG back and the whole bench played great.

Pierce got fouled on that shot but no call of course...

5 points lead heading into halftime, good shooting but terrible rebounding, refs helping the other team (18 for the Blazers to 7 for the C's IN BOSTON!! Come on now...).

Pretty much the same scenario than the last 5 games so we will see what happens in the 3rd quarter. Hopefully a 20-0 run for us and not at total collapse. :)

I think we have seen this before, up by 11 in the 2nd. See what happens in the third.

lets hope not another groundhog day

OK first half overall.  Nice to see KG back and playing hard.

The C's defense and rebounding definitely hasn't improved they are getting killed on the boards by a Portland team missing their top inside players which is very concerning.  Miller is getting to the basket anytime he wants also.

Have to give tons of credit to Portland though.  They are so decimated by injuries compared to the Celtics but they are playing tough.  Any team starting Juwan Howard obviously has huge problems but they keep fighting.

Onto the dreaded 3rd quarter --- maybe tonight will be different...

Overall, not a bad first half.  Offense looked pretty good.

Defensively, we had some issues althought I think there were a few bailout calls benefiting the Blazers.  2nd chance scoring chances are still killing us, though.

Too bad he's right. It'd be better if he was just whining about nothing.

We'll see if the pattern changes.

So far, same pattern -- a double digit lead then a let up.  Blazers know if they can stay in it, they can take the game.  C's need to change the pattern in the third -- come out energized and blow the game open.  Thus far their starters have outplayed ours -- though 3 missed layups (2 Ray adn 1 PP) hurt the cause.

come on...rebounding has to pick it....just no effort to box anyone out
I am afraid this problem will not be fixed.  As I posted on the main forum, rebounding is about effort and energy.  These are the things that players lose as they get older.  We are old.

So do the logic and you get what we get.

Rebounding is largely about proper position and desire to get the ball.  It's a shame to see another game where the C's should be up big but they won't rebound the ball.  Game after game it's the same issue.  Maybe they need to get someone like Reggie Evans or a grinding type player to clean up the glass --- something has to change in the rebounding area soon!

Sheed Wallace is overrated. When our backup Center breaks off before a rebound is secured, Who D-Rebounds? When our backup center shoots 3's, Who O-rebounds?

Two defensive rebounds, hurray!

Ray is in a serious slump...
