Bos Gets: Andre Iguodala
          Jason Kapono

Philly Gets: Ray Allen

Philly's been trying to get exp. contracts and cap help while Boston would get a young and exciting backcourt with Rondo and Iggy for the next 4 years. Also, Kapono could give us another wing player who could help score off the bench

Philly could save some face from trading there franchise player with getting back Ray Allen who could help mentor their young players

Why would Philly do that?  They are not looking to dump Iggy, they are hoping to use him to dump one of their bad contracts (Dalembert or Brand), and get some assets in return.

I would probably do this trade since Kapono helps replace some of the shooting.

But, why for Philly?  Kapono is in his last year.  They are not getting a good enough return.

Philly is not looking for assets. There was a lot of talk that they would trade Iggy and Dalembert for T-MAC's expiring contract. It is almost the same scenerio except they would be trading Kapono and not Dalembert. They would also save Dalembert for next yr. as a chip for a future trade.

(Kapono has 1 more yr. after this yr. left on contract)

So what's the holdup? A couple of things. From Houston's point of view, Dalembert's 15 percent trade kicker would be a bitter pill. And from Philadelphia's perspective, it's important to get back an asset for a building block like Iguodala. While the Sixers love the idea of getting his long-term salary and Dalembert's off the books, they want something in return. The Rockets could offer Trevor Ariza or Aaron Brooks to sweeten the deal, but it sounds as though talks haven't gotten that far yet.

  • Rondo = Good
I think the best we could reasonably do is Ray+BBD+1st round pick for Iguodala and Dalembert.

Now, as much as it disrupts our chemistry, if we did something like Ray+Perk+1st round for Iggy+Dalembert+Lou Williams (or one of their other decent younger players), I'd do that in heartbeat.

Iggy+Dalembert for Ray+Perk isn't even that bad of a trade, considering Iguodala is so much better than Ray at this point, on both ends of the court (especially defensively), not to mention about 7 years younger.  I'd want to get a little bit more in terms of future talent in order to do that deal, though.

If we could get iggy i would be very happy. He is a very good strong player who could help this ball club and could run with Rondo all night.

I would do this deal.  Iguodala defends very well.

Can we get Andre Iguodala for Ray Allen and take a bad contract from the Sixers and a pick?  Are the Sixers trying to dump his contract?

They're not trading him in the division. They have enough problems with attendance already.

I'm just saying if they want to dump him and another bad contract like Brand or Dalembert?

We would have to take on Dalembert's monstorous salary to get Iggy. To fit Dalembert and Iggy's salary we would need to trade Ray, TA, Scals, Giddens, House, Walker or most of those guys. Not worth gutting our team.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19
