Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

Doc is a players coach. When everything was rosey everyone was happy. When Doc needs to bench players and be more strict with shot accountabilty he fails. Nice guy but not what we need right now.

Is there any denying it now?
Nope, you were right. It sure looks like Doc has lost the team.

Yes! Doc has completely lost this team and is incapable of changing things around with this bunch. He should have been replaced already except the owner does not want to pay out the remainder of his contract for no services rendered.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Yeah, but Doc HAS lost this team.  They no longer listen to him.  He's talking about there is no ball movement and he tells them that, but then still there's no ball movement.

Larry Bird said that players start to tune out their coach after 3 years.  Well it's well past 3 years with Doc.

I'm not saying he's the cause of all the problems, but let's start with a new coach next season.
"If somebody would have told you when he was playing with the Knicks that Nate Robinson was going to change a big time game and he was going to do it mostly because of his defense, somebody would have got slapped."  Mark Jackson

All these Doc Rivers topics are silly.

The Celtics suck because their Big 3 suck. It's that simple. They are playing like role players. Age and injury has caught up to them. It happens.

A new coach is not going to make Pierce quicker or KG jump higher or Ray Allen more athletic. They were suppose to have 3 year window and now they are approaching the end. Be thankful for the one championship.

Yes, they're not playing well, but they still don't listen to a word Doc says.

Red Auerbach use to say that you can't make chicken soup out of chicken s***!

Right now Pierce, KG and Ray are chicken s***!

Doc Rivers is not absent of blame but this Celtics decline is because of the Big 3 not Doc Rivers.

totally disagree. Doc needs to put the players in a posistion to succeed. Do you think he has done that?

What do you want Doc Rivers to do? Rebound for KG? Cover Pierce's man? Get open for Ray so he can shoot the ball?

The Big 3 are in decline. They don't have it anymore. No coach is going to change that.

Sorry I am not buying that. The same thing was said about Ray before the trade deadline. Hows that logic now?

I coulda sworn more people wanted to trade Ray for his expiring contract than because of an idea that he was "done".

And, the logic about being in decline is more on KG and Pierce, especially KG. I gotta say, someone's knee never seemed so important to me before last season.

If the problems were all physical, I'd agree with you.  However, there has been a clear lack of focus, that many of the players have acknowledged.  The coaching staff has to take at least some of the blame for that; the team simply hasn't been ready to play, and by his own admission, Doc hasn't made any in-game adjustments.

I'd agree with that.

It seems like they really are just coasting until the playoffs and that's a troubling thing but there's no guarantee that they'll just be able to "turn it on" at will and roll through teams.
