I'm not sure who from the Herald posted that blurb but if its from Bulpett, I'm gonna believe him.  He's a great beat writer, IMO.

If Nate keeps his head in the right place this is an easy win for the Celtics. Billy might do well in NY under D'Antoni who doesn't really care about the defensive side of the ball. This would also free up a roster spot. If I were Eddie I wouldn't be too happy, though.

You might not be happy if you were Eddie, but you wouldn't really have much room for complaint either. You'd have got a ring here, made good money, and when you underperformed to the level that your previous role with the team was in doubt you got traded to a team where you will have more room to contribute and reprove yourself.

I really hate the idea of losing Eddie, I wish there was another way to make this happen.

So how can you make a sandwich and be on Twitter at the same time? :D
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Nate Robinson to the Celtics? Almost a done deal... that's what I'm hearing....    about 1 hour ago   from web

@PistonsNation @MrMikeJay Eddie House and Bill Walker... that is the word thru the g-vine...

@MrMikeJay I like the deal for C's but I do not think the Knicks will do it... makes sense for BOTH teams since T/O 4 Walker and House exp.

@astylez215 RT @thehoopsforum Nate Robinson to the Celtics? Almost a done deal... that's what I'm hearing - who's the trade?? House & Walker

If it's true I don't know if we really are winners in the trade. I would hate to see Eddie go.

I don't buy this, but the House part makes sense.  Nate only makes any sense at all if he is a House replacement.

I sent a tweet to this guy about the Herald article, since he's still online.

@Tai223236 From EVERYTHING I am hearing Nate is the only 1 who can hold this deal up (he can say yea or nay to any trade) NY & Bos want it

He's insisting this trade's still gonna happen. Take it or leave it, guys.

Thanks for following-up on this Tai. TP for your efforts.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

TP and thanks for the answer Tai! It just makes this situation even more intriguing since we don't know if it will happen or not (although the Herald report seems to be really credible).

On the other hand, agents and GM's tend to deny trade rumors when nothing has been done already, don't they? But it doesn't mean there are no discussions right in this moment.

The thing about the Herald report is that it denies that the Spears info is correct. The Herald is claiming that there has been no recent contacts between the Cs and NYK.

Not sure about hoopsforum claims, but Spears has been pretty good, so I tend to think the Herald report is more the public comments being made and Spears is getting the insider info on this topic...

agreed if nate (not tiny) is coming in as a small sg/pg then eddie has no place because robinson is the better player.  not the better teammate imo but player
would have rather seen giddens go than walker
funny if we end up keeping tony after all

I agree with that. The absolutely no discussion have been going on that the agent is claiming seems like a bunch of BS to me.
