just curious, of the options listed, are any actually viable in the trade checker?  If not, this would be kind of pointless.

however, assuming we have options to get Nate, I'd rather see House moved.  Nate would be coming in to provide what House isn't providing---ballhandling and offense.  House would no longer be needed so he's the best option to be sent out.

I'd hang on to TA since Quis is still injured and we don't know if he'll recover to where he's productive.  TA's been productive this year so not as much motivation to move him.

Keep Shelden and (oh my god I can't believe I'm saying this) Scal as front-court insurance in case KG and/or Sheed go down with injuries again.

Danny needs to hold on to draft picks if at all possible.  Drafting is his strength and the only real option the C's have for adding youth to the team for the next couple of years at least.  It's unlikely he'll find a starter where he'll be picking for the next 2-3 year at least but there's a good chance he'll find a good rotation player or 2.

Keep Scal?  I only think we need to keep one of Shelden or Scal, especially if we have to take on Jeffries.
If it's more than just Nate, yes, someone else would have to go.  Considering who's the least needed on the C's just based on Nate, it's House.  If the Knicks throw in other pieces, that adds to the equation of who's expendable from the C's.

Giddens, Walker, Scal, Shelden.  Why isn't Scal and Walker an option?
Any combo of these guys and a pick if needed. Jack Frost- Nate has young legs.

he's a free agent after this year. if traded, his bird rights are lost so the Cs must use the MLE to sign him.

Aren't the bird rights traded with each player?

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
The last thing this team should do is throw away a first rounder on a one year rental.

I wouldn't trade for JUST Nate. NY wants cap relief for next year right?

So how about TA/House/JR/Scal for Nate/Jeffries/Chandler? Makes sense for both teams imo.

I really don't mind getting back Jeffries/Curry, even if it doesn't include Chandler. The Knicks have been an atrocious team for the past 5 years at least, and Jeffries and Curry were good before they came to the Knicks, so I think it can work for them again if they come here. But this is the main reason I would do that: I just want to get rid of Scalabrine and Giddens as soon as possible.
Taking someone else's garbage just for the sake of moving Scal and Giddens is a poor strategy.  Jeffries might have a little something to other but Curry is pure headcase and lazy.  Picture Blount but packing a few pounds and even less motivated.  Thinking he's going to put on the green and white and suddenly become motivated is just inconceivable.

doesn't Curry also have a heart condition? Glad to see that it was enough to motivate him to stay healthy.

I'd give up Giddens and Williams in a heartbeat. I'd really love to send Scal to New York, though.

Not necessarily.  If a player is on a 1 year deal, then he would be giving up his Bird rights if he is traded (which is why he has the right to veto the trade).  While Robinson has been in NY for 3 years, and would have bird rights if he stayed there, he is playing on a 1 year deal, therefore, any team trading for him would NOT have his Bird Rights.

The fact that the poll doesn't include Eddie bothers me, since one would think Nate would be taking his role.
