Question: After the tenth round, presumably there will be 12 players on every team and yet still a lot of draftable players available, what happens to them

Will the draft continue or will you be able to claim anyone from that point forward and if so who gets first dibs

At that point, I'm ending the draft. ;)

Any remaining players will be free agents and GMs can speculate about who would have signed them, etc., but I see no need to extend this exercise into the deep rounds.  I'll leave it up to the various GMs to decide how they want to handle things.

Oh, thank God.

Seriously, after the 12th round in the Celticsblog draft, it was a ghost town around here, except for the diehards. Painful.

I'm hopeful you can do better things with the Warriors (or the Forty) than they've done for themselves, Bass.  I feel bad for the fans out there.

The Boston Celtics are proud to announce they are keeping KG as their second keeper.

Sure.  If you're going to have somebody else as a co-GM who can announce picks for you, let me know.  In terms of asking others who to keep, pick, etc., that's entirely up to you, and is allowed.

Question: Are we as "owners" of these teams assuming that the coaches that are in place will be staying in place or are we as "owners" allowed to fire our coach and hire a new one.

With D'Antoni as my coach, my team kind of has to draft a certain type of player to maximize the ability of the team to succeed

See my problem here or all our problems, as the case may be

Gallanari and Lee aren't really as useful in another system, I'm sure you are allowed to implement another offensive system, but in your case it doesn't make much sense.

If you've announced your keepers, please check the first page of this thread to make sure they're listed correctly.

Roy, my keepers were Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
yeah, what happened?  I had Stockton and Malone.   ;D

By the way, reasonable offers for Boozer will be considered.

RE: 12-15th rounds.... booooo! That's the time for losers like me to shine :-[ ;D

And I just wanted to be clear --- if we deal guys during the draft we don't have to worry about the salaries matching but we *do* after the draft is completed? (an interesting twist for Year 2 of this soon-to-be classic would be that we Keep 2, draft 1 round, then in the 2nd round pull one of our unprotected players back (like in the NBA expansion drafts)).

And we're competing for this year right? I mean even if we're building for the future, the year of "compete now" is for the rest of this year (not starting next).

The Milwaukee Bucks raise a beer to congratulate ANDREW BOGUT and BRANDON "hightop fade" JENNINGS as our keepers -- pending

Toronto is actively shopping the rights to its second protected player (still to be determined).

The Raptors will also listen to serious offers for Bosh, although it would take a lot to part with him.
