This team needs and upgrade and need it quick. They are just bad plain bad. No heart over the past two games. This team Won with KG out of the lineup last year so i don't want to here the excuse of the injuries. We need and upgrade and quick. This team will not win a championship as is. Or at least with the attitude that we can coast the whole game and cause we are Vets we will win that isn't working.

The Celtics can win a Championship as currently constructed.

It's never nice to see but I'm not concerned about this. I don't think the Celtics will have any problems intensity wise once Garnett returns and as the big games/playoffs start to take over.

The Celtics effort/intensity on the season hasn't been as good as the last two years when it was at a freakishly high level but it's still very good. It's not something I'm worried about.

Danny assembled the best team in the NBA. Now its Doc's turn to do some coaching. Injuries should never ever be an excuse. You never see Houston Rockets complain.

Do some coaching Doc Rivers.

Last year when the celtics won without Garnett because basically everyone else was healthy. This year KG's injury coincided in part with Pierce's, Rondo's, Sheed's, and Daniels'.

Regarding what to do: there are no trades involving any of the starters (short of a gift of "Gasol to the lakers" magnitude) that increases our chances at winning this year.

The celtics need an upgrade on the bench. There is no true scorer off the bench. Sure Sheed can pore in some points but doesn't take the best shots. We really need an energy guy like Nate someone who can handle the ball shoot and pass.

i'm not worried about us losing, because I know we will make the playoffs. I'm worried about us making the playoffs with this exact roster. We could use a lil minor configuring. ;)

Well technically Rasheed and Eddie are our scorers on on the bench.
Problem is Rasheed is now starting and Eddie forgot how to shoot.

For me, Eddie House has worn out his welcome. Except for the rare occasion, he absolutely cannot shoot anymore. The offensive production off the bench right now, other than Sheed is brutal. Even with Marquis you are not going to get a lot of offense. As constructed, I do not think this team can win a cahmpionship, even if healthy.

We Clearly need a backup point guard
We Clearly need a long, tall, athletic, young wing/pf

We dont need to wait until the last minute of the trade deadline, to make a move. The only people who need to wait until the last minute, are the teams trying to make the mega-deals, or a trading of all-star caliber players, or multi-team trades. All we need are a backup pg, and a long athletic wing/pf type player.

I think we need to be aggressive in getting whomever we are after, and not wait until other team makes moves, because you run the risk of those small players getting put in package deals alongside, the Big All-Star type players.

I say we go in quickly and get what we want/need, and move on.

And start focusing on playing a  "CHAMPIONSHIP-BRAND" of basketball.
I keep seeing people posting about how were tops in the east or whatever and how we are have 27 wins, etc. etc., I dont care about how many wins, I'm concerned about how we are playing, And most of those 27 wins, were not won on a championship brand of basketball.

I feel the problem with this team is that we have begun to focus on winning the game, and playing matctups vs. matchups against our opponents, and not.......focused on playing championship-brand basketball

Yes and do it quick. We need to get those guys and get the chemistry down pat. There needs to be major tweaking and yes i believe Eddie has worn out his welcome.

I wouldn't be opposed to keeping House, as long his minutes are shifted down to Scalabrine status. (after bringing the new guys, whomever they may be)

Homerism at its best.
