Overall a solid first half but the C's should be up by more points.  Missed free throws are becoming more of an issue lately and that can't continue come playoff time.

Tough sequence to end the half with Scal's 3 rimming out which would have put the C's up 14, then Perk missing 2 free throws and Dallas scoring to cut it to 9.

The well rested Celtics should be fired up for a big second half.  Especially with the Mavericks on a back to back and having lost 3 out of 4 games.  Should be a very good half coming up.

By the way, Kevin McHale is really fun to listen to. It makes much more easier to support Reggie Miller, although he is still really, really annoying (he has the sad ability to make great plays like buzzer beaters look bad because of his terrible comments and voice).

Dallas needs to make a trade ...

(1) Rip Hamilton + Jonas Jerebko for Josh Howard
(2) Corey Maggette + Anthony Morrow for Josh Howard
(3) Andre Iguodala + Sam Dalembert for Josh Howard + Eric Dampier
(4) Kevin Martin + two midlevel contracts for J.Howard + E.Dampier
(5) Antawn Jamison for Josh Howard

The West is weak =- one contender (Lakers) and a bunch of pretenders.

true lakers dominate the west no question, but the west overall is way way stronger than the east. The record for west vs east is very lopsided. The hornets are ranked 11th in the west but they would be reanked 5th in the east. The teams in the west are way more competitive overall. It's actually better for us because we just whoop up on crappy teams all season in the east.

Mavs played yesterday so we can't get too cocky.

That's harsh, but i don't really disagree...  ;)

Hate to bring this up but it looks like the Hawks game from last week so far ---

C's dominating the game but only up 9 as they were against the Hawks.  Hopefully they won't collapse in the second half as they did in that game.

Orlando it's the dreaded 3rd quarter coming up --- they C's need to have a solid third quarter from the start which has been almost impossible for them lately.

How about earlier when Kevin asked Reggie a question and Reggie completely misunderstood? I thought it made the broadcast have an awkward aura about it.

Love kev, though.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Reggie suggests Boston Garden is luckier than Wrigley Field.  Um...dude?  Are you okay?
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

  • Rondo = Good
When the shot clock gets low, Rondo needs to NOT give it to Perk.
