Would you guys do this trade and take a chance on Arenas if his contract is not voided? You would also get Butler. You would get two younger all- stars for the price of one. Obviously you would be taking a huge chance on Arenas, but think about how rested his legs would be and I am sure he would heal more.

Boston Trades...
             Ray
             Scal
             TA
Washington Trades
             Arenas
             Butler

Rondo/Arenas/Daniels
 Arenas or Btuler/ House Daniels
 Peirce/ Butler/Daniels
 Kg/Wallace/Williams
 Perk/Wallace

Works on trade machine, but It wont give me the link to copy!

I think you linked in the wrong trade.  When I click, I'm seeing a Knicks/Celtics trade.

Aside from all the talk of chemistry and the fact that Arenas is a criminal, do we really want to trade 1 of 2 Celtics that has played in every game this season (Perkins being the other) and the only significant Celtic to have no injury problems at all (Kendrick's been banged up a bit) this year?

Your right they probably wouldn't. The question was would you? I think I would possibly take the chance. Eitherway you get Butler but I think Arenas has alot to prove and he is only around 27.

Didn't the Celtics take Telfair's name off his locker and guarantee he would not return to the team over gun issues

Why would they trade two of the nicer guys in the locker room in Ray Allen and Brian Scalabrine for a person who just plead guilty to a gun felony and is a divisive character on and off the court

Just makes no sense to me

No, I wouldn't make the deal. I don't like Gilbert Arenas at the two and I'm not picking Arenas over Rondo at the point .. and I'm not overly enamored with Caron Butler's game.

One more thing:

There is a rift between Gilbert and Butler before the gun issue because both wanted more touches.  There was talk of moving Butler because he and Gilbert were not working together.

Now, add them to to other guys that will likely be ahead of them in the offensive pecking order, and chemistry is a big issue.

So, as a package, those two are even less attractive.

Boston trades:

Ray Expiring
BBD 2yrs 3mil including this year
Scal

Washington Trades:

Butler
Foye
Jamison

What about a deal like this? We get younger a SF a PF (we Could Flip) and a needed back up pg who will expire this year at 3million. I think this move could improve us now and in the future and Ray could come back next year if he wanted to.

I've got no interest in Arenas.  He hasn't been healthy, he's got a terrible contract, he's bad in the locker room, and he doesn't make his teammates better.  When thinking about contracts, etc., he's one of the very last players in the NBA that I'd like to add to our current core.

For Washington to be interested in this I think you would have to send Rasheed instead of Baby but that's just me. Checked in the trade machine and it works
