BOS Sends - R. Allen, Wallace, Davis, Daniels, House, T. Allen, Giddens, Scalabrine
BOS Gets - Iguodala, Salmons, Hinrich, Dalembert, Jason Smith

CHI Sends - Salmons, Hinrich, Jerome James
CHI Gets - R. Allen, Davis, T. Allen

PHI Sends - Iguodala, Dalembert, Jason Smith
PHI Gets - Daniels, House, Scalabrine, Dampier, Giddens

DAL Sends - Dampier
DAL Gets - Wallace, Jerome James

Chicago gets the sweet shooting scorer they are missing since Ben Gordon left, a starting power forward, and contract relief.

Philly dumps a ton of salary and gets in better position for the lottery.

Dallas upgrades their starting lineup.

Boston gets a young and talented wing to replace Ray and lock down the Lebrons, Wades and Johnsons of the league. Combined with Rondo, maybe the best defensive backcourt in history? Hinrich backs up both guard positions and Salmons backs up both wings - splitting about 22 minutes per game. Dalembert is a great backup center with an expiring contract next year, and Smith can fill the Scal role as our three point specialist power forward.
"All I have to know is, he's my coach, and I follow his lead. He didn't have to say anything in here this week. We all knew what we had to do. He's a big part of our family, and we're like his extended family. And we did what good families do when one of their own is affected." - Teddy Bruschi

Woah!  I fully expect to make it to the finals this year with the roster we have.  Lets just wait for our health to improve.  That trade is an obscene amount of reshuffling for the best team in the east.

Whoa, We dont need to do all of that.

We have the best starting 5 in the League, with the best chemistry. Lets not mess with that.

The only players we should be looking to trade is Scal, TA,JR, Walker and Shelden, (maybe Baby)

I think we can take care of Age, Athleticism and Depth. with 3 simple moves, not this megadeal overhauling the roster.

We should sign Sean Williams
We should trade for Keyon Dooling.....(TA and Shelden or JR)
We should trade for Sasha Pavlovic.....(JR or shelden)

I don’t think trading 75% of the roster from a team with the 3rd best record in the NBA, albeit, with it’s defensive anchor and third leading scorer injured, for five players coming from lottery/fringe playoff teams equals a successful trade.

Looks like change for the sake of change if you ask me…
"      “I can make a trade every day if I want to, but that's not going to help us. A trade that would get us better rarely comes along. They're very difficult to find. Good trades are very difficult in our league and don't happen very often.”

This trade is obviously a little outlandish, but lets break down some of the arguments:

Expensive: Dalembert and Salmons expire next year, and Hinrich is not much more expensive than Wallace would be over that same period. Iggy does not come cheap, but Pierce expires at the end of next season as well, which will help defray the costs.

75% of the Roster: We only trade one starter. Our bench changes a lot, but in possitive ways. Remember, Daniels and Wallace are both new and are both out at this time. Daniels may not be back. The rest of those guys - Scal, TA, Giddens, and Davis wont matter in the playoffs anyway.

Why does this move make sense?

1) We get the best player involved - Iggy
2) We also get the third and fourth best players involved - Salmons and Hinrich
3) Dalembert is an excellent rebounder and shotblocker, so the team wont lose much when Perk takes a break
4) Rondo, Iguodala and Perkins is a better future than Rondo and Perkins
5) Iguodala and Hinrich matchup against Lebron, Wade, Johnson and Kobe better than anyone else available.
6) Dalembert give Howard fits

The trade would be good in a video game or in a fantasy league.

It is ridiculous in the real world since it would ruin any chance we have of a championship this year. We would be holding training camp midseason. We would be screwed.

Not only would we be holding training camp midseason (when we don't actually have the time to hold many practices), but there would be a high possibility of the players not fitting in that system due to the lack of familiarity the coaching staff and the players would have with one another.

Well, balls to you for working it out and actuallly suggesting it.

Still, what a horrible idea.  For a team to be a contender, chemistry matters.  I like many of the players (Hinrich, for sure, and Dalembert as a backup), but jeez, we're not a .500 team.  Teams like the Wiz, Indiana, 'Sota, etc. might make big deals this year, but not us.  This is putting a tourniquet in place of a band-aid.

This is insane.  With the exception of Daniels, if the C's really felt that they needed to win a game, no one likely would've missed a game this season.  They're just being ultra conservative with every injury to prevent last year from reoccurring.  The last thing we need to do is make radical changes.

Sure, we could update our age, athleticism, and depth; but we'd also downgrade our experience, talent, and chemistry.

Let's also not forget that Ray has been the only truly healthy player on this team all year.  Do we really want to trade him?

Pierce and BBD would have both missed games with their surgeries.

i dont think Philly would be willing to just give away Iggy for the garbage we'd be giving them back.

that said and for other reasons stated above.  no thanks.

And TA with the ankle problems really would have been kept out, even if we were a mediocre team.

BOS Sends - R. Allen, Wallace, Davis, Daniels, House, T. Allen, Giddens, Scalabrine
BOS Gets - Iguodala, Salmons, Hinrich, Dalembert, Jason Smith

Rondo/Hinrich
Iggy/Hinrich/Salmons
Pierce/Salmons
KG/Dalemburt/Smith
Perk/Dalemburt/Williams

Personally I'm all for it! We get better defensively, have a healthier crew with a higher B-ball IQ, and locker room chemistry stays straight as long as Rondo/Hinrich are aight. Maybe we could also get KG for Big Al or Bosh! That could potentially make us one of the best teams ever.
