Well its a 3 point game, the Jets need to get a first down to ice this game, otherwise the Chargers have a chance.

I'm mostly annoyed by the fact that a Jets victory will make the road to the Superbowl very easy for Peyton Manning.

Wouldn't it be ironic (and I'm not predicting this) if the Colts got knocked out of the playoffs by a team that wouldn't have even made the playoffs but for the Colts resting their starters?

Wow.  Choke job it is.
V. Jackson with a great catch, and then gives back 15 yards of it.

What an idiot.

Yep.  Stupid penalties, missed kicks, poor execution.  Classic choke.  San Diego should be going to Indy, and instead they're going home.
And the Colts cackle with glee, SD is a much tougher match up for their defense and offense.

The Jets can be run on and rely on the blitz to stop offenses. Peyton is great against the blitz and they can run.

Like I said, the Colts are a lock for the Superbowl if the Jets win.
I was reminded of the look on Tim Duncan's face the year the Warriors took out the Mavs in the first round as this game unfolded in the second half.

haha nice comparison.

it's a game again suddenly, but they don't have time against a team like the Jets.  plus they only have one timeout
Even 7 seconds can be enough, I should know I'm a Bears fan....

Yup, you've got to make field goals 40 yards and under in the NFL.

Yeah.  The 57 and the 40...okay.  The 27 yarder though?  No excuse.

Also, for the record, I would have kicked deep, since they're only down three.

Yeah, agreed.  Especially when your kickers have failed you all game long.

I'm not so sure on that, with so little time left and only one time out I think the gamble that you'll get the onside kick is worth it.

Neither is a high percentage play.

He came very close to getting that. The Jets should go for it.

The announcers are crazy to suggest that kicking the FG is an option worth considering.

Mark Sanchez throws a pick going for a short pass and the Chargers return for a TD and the win.

How awesome would that be?

No way should they throw it, you need about a foot.

If it wasn't so late in the game and another score could help you throwing is a great option on fourth down. But in this situation only the first down matters.
