I will start by saying I don't know how healthy Dooling is but how about:

Dooling and Hayes
for
Tony Allen and Daniels

Hayes replaces Daniels and may not be any better but is healthy and Dooling is a better fit than Tony Allen in that he can better fill the back-up PG role.

NJ saves about $1M this year plus Dooling's $3.8 or so next year.

As I said, I only do this if Dooling is healthy (not sure why he didn't play against Boston last night) as it is quite a bit of money for Boston to take on.  I would think NJ would do this.

I don't mean to be a homer, but I think I prefer Allen and Daniels to Dooling and Hayes at this point. I wouldn't mind taking on a little salary from NJ if it was for somebody like Lee.

If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

Boston trades the two best players in the deal for the two worst. Yikes.

  • Rondo = Good
No Jarvis Hayes please.  Daniels is so much better.

I wouldn't mind Dooling if he were healthy, but he seems to be constantly out of New Jersey's lineup due to "hip problems."  That could just be him not wanting to play and risk injuring himself in an almost meaningless game, though.

I like it.

I like it.

Gives them everything they seem to want.

They save a little money this season.  No long term contracts.  Get an extra 1st.

Daniels is only better if he isn't injured and yes, the mysterious hip problem with Dooling does worry me.

Wow, some love for Tony Allen I guess.  I don't see Tony as better than either and the injuries is what worry me about Daniels.  I see this as a lateral in talent overall but we get a healthy wing and a guard who can play the point.

I don't see loosing Tony and Daniels as a problem at all.  I was once excited about Daniels but now I am not.  He never really got it going and then got hurt.
