Two Celtics players on this list!

I'm a frequent reader of SLAM Magazine. Anyone else read it? In the last issue they had a top 10 list of guys that would fail a conditioning test, after being a bit surprised that Andre Miller failed his preseason test.

What do ya'll think? Who would you add to the list?

1. Glen Davis
2. Sean May
3. Eddy Curry
4. Jerome James
5. Boris Diaw
6. Brian Scalabrine
7. Zach Randolph
8. Andrew Bogut
9. Jamaal Magloire
10. Shaq

I might be alone on this but I doubt that Scal would fail a conditioning test.

It depends on what the test was.  If it's pure conditioning, Scal might be okay.  If it was a body-fat percentage (like Pat Riley relies on), Scal would be toast.

Is this a hypothetical situation or is it something that was actually measurable?  If this is just some opinion based poll, then I don't give it too much credibility.  I am pretty sure that even the worse shaped players are still more conditioned then 90% of the overall population.

Lol you're taking this way to serious man.  This is SLAM, it's meant as a joke, not to be taken seriously.  They do a non-serious top 10 poll like this every issue.  Past polls have been like - top 10 favorite white players, top 10 haircuts, Top 10 guys to wear #10, etc. things like that.  They're not meant to be taken serious, think of them more like a Letterman Top 10.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I hear you, I don't really read Slam magazine so that is why I was questioning it.  I didn't know if it was like the Sports Illustrated poll asking players, or an actual test, or if it's just random.  That's what I meant.  I do think that the most deconditioned basketball players are still more conditioned than the majority of the public.  According to most associations' definition of obesity, most football lineman would be considered overweight or obese, even though they are more active than most normal weight people.

Big Baby has a MOTOR.  He never stops running around and flopping onto the ground.  He is conditioned.  Scal, however unathletic, never seems to let a lack of conditioning affect his play, though he was huffing and puffing when Dickerson interviewed him at the half the other night.
I'd definitely have Sheed on the list over those two because you can actually see the lack of energy.  I agree that POB could be on the list.
I'm glad they have Diaw on there.  What a waste.  The guy has so much talent but he's been looking like there is an extra guy in his shorts for like 4 years.  QRich would have been on last year's list.

Very bad list. AFAIK, Andre Miller was the only player to fail a conditioning test this season besides Curry and he doesn't make the list?

Scalabrine has the reputation of being a workout warrior.

Zach Randolph is there just because he has a chubby face; he's in great physical form.

Why is Scal the only guy that rides the stationary bike during the middle of a game?

Haha he was definitely lacking in brain conditioning but I don't think he was in good physical condition either.  He had no motor and looked lazy.  All that athleticism never came out.
