Chicago is set to chase after at least 1 big free agent next season. Tyrus Thomas has been dangled on the block for awhile now, and I think an athletic PF is what we're lacking(along backup SF and PG)
Chicago gets Giddens, Tony, BBD and Scal
Boston gets Salmons and Tyrus Thomas
For Chicago, it rids them of 7 mil + whatever in luxury tax after they sign a big name. We could add a draft pick if needed.
For us, we get a good shooting SF that can create his own shot as well as get to the rim(hasn't been great this year, but we know he can play) Thomas then replaces BBD and becomes our athletic forward catching oops from Rondo(as KG usually would) Plus Thomas proved last year that he can shot a jumper(and still improving on that, and still better than BBDs jumpers)
The other great part about this trade is that it then opens up a total of 3 roster spots - fill in with Tyron Lue, TMac, or whoever else's name shows up after the deadline...
