All so Depressing Right Now

TP for anyone who talks about the brutal officiating. they c's wore down on the fourth, but that is what happens when it is 5 on 8 all night long. for some reason, refs always take care of the hawks vs the c's. that team is such a joke. they have been chasing the c's since i was a kid and they never have beaten us and they never will. (at least not when it is important).

this was not bad officiating tonight, it was simply one sided and pre-determined. bennett salvadore, well done once again.

we lose down there and predictably, they lose to orlando the next night by 35. they are a joke, their arena is a joke, their 584 fans are a joke.

Well, you have to give credit to the Hawks for outplaying us for one quarter.  I always thought that you had to play 48 minutes to win a basketball game, but tonight's game proved that's definitely not the case, as long as the refs are keeping the game close for you while you're getting outplayed.

I'm not going to judge the team too harshly when they're missing both KG and Rasheed (and Daniels). 

The fact that we're competing with good teams while severely short-handed could, in a more optimistic world, be seen as a good thing.

Eh...  There's nothing that can be done about it.  The team is being cautious with it's guys, and I'm fine with that so long as the team is healthy going into the playoffs.

This team is one of a handful of true contenders for an NBA title.  I'm appreciative of that, and try to keep sight of the big picture, even though it sucks to lose games.

I hear you.  It's hard to be optimistic about injuries in light of last season, but I still think that if healthy, there isn't a better team in the NBA.

One good thing is that getting the #1 seed isn't nearly as important as it used to be for this team.  They play well on the road quite often better than at home.

No need for the C's to have home court advantage when they don't have a big edge there anymore...

The flagrant on BBD was bogus.
But besides poor officiating, I saw poor subbing.
Rondo is young, but lets not wear down the tread so soon.
Perk should not be touching the ball anywhere close to 10 seconds left in the shot clock. Nor should BBD.

Our bench obviously needs a 3 and a backup PG(Quis fills both needs but can't stay healthy) But I think we need an athletic PF. Sheed does great at spreading the floor, and Sheldon is good at playing big down low, but we need an explosive dunker with some sort of jumper that can also play D. Can I hear on Tyrus Thomas please? KG is great for us b/c he can hit an open J, get rebounds and block shots. Plus he can catch an oop. BBD and Sheldon can't, and Sheed is too far away from the paint to try.

long time, no speak, roy. always good to see you on here. while you are probably right, to me, whoever gets home court has such an advantage this year. lakers, magic, cavs, c's. more than most years, i think home court is so important. that is why rigged games like tonight are so frustrating. we had a win taken away from us by three officials and it may well come back to haunt us.

prob is that is the big unknown...are they EVER going to be healthy this season...one guy comes back...2 more get hurt

I'd be very surprised if this Hawks team can compete with the Celtics in a 7 games series, assuming decent health. They don't have the defensive quality to achieve that.

What's depressing is two things that have been going on since early in the season (rebounding) and even before that (turnovers).

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm going to be pretty annoyed by it, and I'll be stunned if there isn't a flagrant called.

I agree that home court is fairly important.  However, I don't think it's a lost cause; we're only 1 1/2 games back of Cleveland in the East.  When KG gets back, I think we'll gain ground.  I expect a very strong March and April from this team.

The things is, even though we have a relatively high number of losses compared to the past two seasons, so do other teams.  We've got 10 losses; LA has 8, Cleveland has 10, and Orlando has 12.  In the grand scheme of things, we're not doing so bad relative to our competition.
