Well, while the officiating was indeed as bad as I've seen in a long time, and while we certainly missed KG, Quis and our Head Coach, and while Joe Johnson was just unconscious tonight, you just can't make 19 turnovers in todays NBA and expect to win games.

I know the Celtics are built around being unselfish, which in turn increases the amount of assists and passes made, (and therefor increases the opportunities for turnovers), but they've just GOT to cut down on the turnovers, and be more stingy with the ball. Some really good things to be seen in this game, but they gave another one away.

While Atlanta is gaining confidence against us, (which could prove costly down the road), much of that confidence is unfounded ... they didn't so much take these last two from us, as we did give them away. I'm still not worried about meeting them in the playoffs, as long as we're at full strength at that time ...

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Hey Bahku. Just wanted to pop by ;)

Hey, Bud ... thanks for the break in the thread ... it gets monotanous seeing my own sig over-and-over. Speaking of such, I've been meaning to approach you about a new one ... I've got a couple of ideas, just not sure what's viable technically, or if you even have the extra time/resources. Let me know. ;)
Time is the biggest issue, got about 3 or 4 others waiting in the queue, Drucci, Roy, etc. So, get in line!

No problem ... just inquiring, and I completely understand. Add me to the list or whatever ... I know you're in high demand, Bud. ;)

I wanted this game so bad, and until Doc got thrown out we were playin' one of the best games this season.
Big win for these ATL team, but I want to meat them in the playoffs and put this made up rivalry away for good...they won't win playoff series against our half healthy team.

Yeah, I agree (TP) ... as I said, we gave this away, they didn't take it. Everyone is so afraid of this Hawks team, but they just don't worry me, (if we're healthy, that is). I wanted this one, too, just because I hate their over-blown arrogance and bravado ... I think it may come back to bite them, though, because the next time they play us they'll be over-confident, and apt to not play their most determined game.

You're also correct about Doc's expulsion ... we were really in a great groove to that point, despite the turnovers, and all the energy was in our direction. Most often a coach's ejection can fire a team up, but tonight it worked to the contrary, and Thibs made some poor decisions and lack of substitutions ... he's a great assistant, I just think he was over his head in this one, and I don't think he's ready for the responsibility and pressure of being a Head Coach.

I was at the game last night and everyone was beyond disgusted. It was easily one of the most frustrating games I've been to, and I've had season tickets for a couple years.

The officiating was downright atrocious. The phantom flagrant call on Baby and the double technical on Doc was the turning point of the game. Blame who you want for the loss, but those calls changed the game. That swing completely favored the Hawks. All I could think was "How much do the refs have on this game?!"

Anybody watching the re-broadcast on CSNNE? These bogus calls look even more obvious the second time around. Ugh!

About 3 minutes into the third quarter and the tempo, energy, momentum, and agressiveness, is completely in the Celtics' favor, leading by 13.

Up ten points in the middle of the 3rd quarter when the T's and ejection happened, with all the momentum in our favor ... no matter what the other factors were, you have to conclude that the refs completely changed the atmosphere and energy of this game. Terrible.

That's not a hard foul by Crawford on Ray?!? And why no technical for the whole Hawks team coming onto the floor without a time-out called? Geez.  :P

Glen was very effective in the 4th ... Pierce should have been defending Johnson the whole game ... that was a mis-match for Ray. Salvatore is an idiot.

Wow ... huge moving pick set on Rondo that sends him to the deck, and the Hawks end up with a tres ... horrible officiating, or LACK of officiating, I should say.
