Ok someone slap me! But I would trade a hobbled KG for Bosh if Toronto would except it. Young nucleus of Perk,Rondo & Bosh is pretty darn good. Im only saying that because of the whole uncertainty of KG's injury this yr. It reminds me too much of last season. Besides the Big 3 looks a little old to me so far this year. I hope they are just coasting for the playoff run. Besides Ainge has always said that he woulda trade one of the other BIG 3 had he had the chance so he opened my eyes to always trying to improve your team short & long term.

It would destroy our team... us dealing KG in the middle of the season just seems wrong.
Which is exactly why I'd like it

I'm not sure that I would trade Bosh for KG - even now.

After Pierce Destroyed Bosh with that dunk a few weeks ago, no one back then was thinking about such a trade (KG for Bosh). Bosh looked absolutely helpless on defense in that game, and he still doesn't look to me to be hungry to play defense.

As for the trade thread - I would say Let LA do the trade. IMO, this wouldn't improve LA's opportunity for a ring any more than having Bynum - IMO it would weaken LA defensively.

At least Bynum does clog the middle. And Bynum is a Traditional Center. And he is a shotblocker. He has had injury issues but at least he has a post game. LA would lose that, and have only Gasol with any sort of post offense.

Bosh doesn't intimidate on Defense. Look what Rasheed did today, and he's 35.

From LA's standpoint, I guess they would slide Gasol over to Center and Bosh to PF.

Just from my view - LA wouldn't frighten me if they had Bosh. Let LA do it if they choose - matter of fact do it before we play them on Jan 31 - so that way we can beat them with Bosh ;)

Atlanta could give them Josh Smith and Pachuila.

this is why i doubted people that were rooting for the lakers over orlando as being true celtic fans. the lakers will be the greatest bball franchise ever. The most storied nba franchise in history. It's all about titles and the lakers woule leapfrog us. I had hoped to never see the day when i was alive.

That would make Atlanta a legitimate contender. Scary team.

Good trade for both sides too.

if i was toronto i'd rather have bynum then josh smith. Smith is better now but i just think bynum COULD be a great center. If smith was more mature i may feel differently.

I think that makes Atlanta worse. Maybe they can fix the issue in the summer and find a tough physical + versatile defender to play alongside Bosh.

Yep, I'd rather have Bynum too.

If Toronto is moving Bosh I think they'll ask for salary relief, talent, and picks. I think they'll get two out of the three at best.

I think Houston still can offer the best combo of all three if they'd like.

Bynum fits better next to Bargs than Smith.

Why is that? Bargnani needs a mobile big man to guard the quicker 4/5s for him. Offensively Bynum and Bargs would work well, but Barg's issues are rebounding and defense.

Smith is the wrong type of Athletic 4 and he can't guard 5s. Bargs is developing into a good help defender and would benefit from a low post defender whom he can help. Also, a solid face up shot blocker would help when Bargs does get burned by those Athletic 4s. Smith won't be a presence in the post defensively, certainly not against 5s, where as Bynum would.

And thee offensive compatibility is obvious between Bargs and Bynum. With Smith, they would be in the quagmire they're in now with two-face up Bigs, except now they would have a far less talented 4.

I wouldn't make any personnel decisions based on how well they complement Andrea Bargnani. That's a losing plan of action.

And, clearly, Colangelo doesn't either or else he wouldn't have signed Hedo Turkoglu when his team needed a superior defender + rebounder at the SF position to help hide Bargnani's egregious flaws. Although, that was more about Colangelo's dodgy evaluation of Bargnani in the first place wasn't it?

I'd pick Andrew Bynum because I think he's a better player than Josh Smith + because I think he has more potential than Josh Smith + because I think having a 16-20ppg low post presence and defensive anchor to build around makes the rest so much easier.

I don't think this trade will happen and even if it does, I'm not worried.

Seriously, if the Lakers pair Bosh with Gasol they will have the softest froncourt of the league and the worst big defenders of the contenders. Sure, Bosh is a monster offensively but he is soft and can't play D. Plus, he needs to take a lot of shots and Kobe already has a hard time attempt less shots to give some to Gasol, so with Bosh on board, there would be a serious problem.
