It seems pretty obvious Redd is going to be moved.  I think he would be a good fit for a number of teams including the Cavs (though the Cavs would have to get rid of Big Z or Shaqdaddy to get him).  Hornets also seems like a good fit for Redd.

Where do you think he ends up?

Some possible trades

Cavs - Big Z & Moon for Redd OR Big Z, Moon, & Gibson for Redd and K. Thomas

Hornets - Peja, Armstrong, Songalia for Redd & Gadzuric
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I think teams are scared to pick his contract up right now.  He just can't prove to stay healthy.  (which is to bad because he is a good player)

Hornets are looking to dump salary... There are rumors going around about trading Chris Paul... I dont think they'll be picking up a salary like redd's.

I don't think the Hornets will be trading Paul.  How many years left on Redd's contract?

One more year after this one at $18.3 mil.  Wow he's going to be tough to move this year.  Also, he's kind of going down the Szerbiak path of being a one trick pony (shooting) and having the wheels fall off.  I'd be scared to sign him.

Yep, my thinking exactly.  The Cavs have traditionally been linked to him, and they may be desperate enough to take a gamble, but most other teams will be scared off.

Peja doesn't exactly make chump change next year so the dollars aren't all that much different (with the other guys included).  It is more a matter of whether or not the Hornets like Peja or Redd better.

4 and 5 million is a lot, especially when its doubled by the luxury tax. You'd have to construct a strange trade to make it work for both teams. Unless the Hornets dump a lot of salary with Peja to get Redd it'd cost them a ton of money. But they don't have a ton of expiring deals.

Why would the Bucks take Posey or Morris Peterson?

He chose to stay in Milwaukee instead of going elsewhere. If you sign a big deal and the team turns out bad you should have to stay for punishment.  ;D

It would be kind of groundbreaking for a player that is not causing any problems and playing well when healthy to get bought out (unimaginable if its not the last year of his contract). Usually buyout occur within the last year of a deal when a player is having some sort of beef with his role or the team is doing the veteran a solid cause they are moving in a different and want to give him a chance at a ring. The bucks are in an unfortunate situation. They have some nice young players in Jennings and Bogut but have also overpaid for some players (including probably bogut a bit at ten mill per year). Until they get out of the contract of Dan Gadzuric (6.5 million what the heck) Luke Ridnour  (6.5 als) and Redd they are gonna be a really middle of the pack team at best. Then there is the whole other issue of what free agent would want to go to milwaukee if they did have the money. Seems like they goood be in for a long ride in the middle without some genious move.

For the next two years, he's just going to be a giant cap hit covered in bandages. But after that he could be the next over-the-hill, San Antonio 2Guard. It's a match made in heaven.
