The #1 thing this team needs is a pushy, scoring, shooting, passing back-up point guard (ie: Nate Robinson, Kirk Hinrich, Luke Ridnour etc...)
The #2 thing needed is a shooting guard/small forward that has the ability to shoot from outside, score, ball handle and draw double teams (ie: Jerry Stackhouse)
either 1 will do or even both if we could get.
I believe Lester Hudson could probably fit that point guard role as back-up, but Doc is too much in his ear. He's thinking too much and not playing.
J.R. did exactly what the coach asked him to do (rebound and defend). My question is how will he fit on this team, how will he get playing time? You got Pierce, Ray, TA, House, Scal and Quis are all ahead of him... I just don't see how we're going to use him. He'll rot on the bench when the team gets healthy.
Bill Walker is another one that may rot on the bench or stay in the D-League. I just don't see how he's going to get minutes with all the above players listed are ahead of him.
Anyhow great game! surprising win
