i think that because we have rasheed now, ubuntu no longer fits this team. rasheed puts himself above the team. he's gonna do what he wants. sorry, that's called selfish. i hate his attitude. i'm so sick of his whining about the refs. it hurts a little that he's wearing celtic green for me right now. i just have to avoid hearing quotes of his. we need him to win it all. i'm bummed we need this type of teammate though.

His play on the court has always been team first.  Why do you think players like playing with him so much (even with all the Ts)

No, he has shown up for the Celtics in big regular season games.  I am sure he will show up for big playoff games.

Everything I've heard this year from the players and coaches disagrees with your assessment.

Considering that Sheed has the best post moves of any player on our team, I definitely do not want to see him go. His moves on the left side are beautiful. He is old and will not spend the whole season in the post, but we can go to him plenty in the playoffs.

Most of all, he can play defense. Any move would be very risky and compromise our defense.

Haha, yeah. Well here's my outlook. The guy could be one of the most dominant post scorers in the game. He isn't but he could be. Let's say he realizes this and works harder? So he starts scoring a little down low. It builds confidence for 3 point shooting. I don't want him taking 6 a game, but 2 or 3 would be reasonable, as long as they're good lucks. Also you could make the argument that he won't, but think about this. As of this point, Rasheed Wallace is an old, out of shape, 7 footer that doesn't work hard, or reach his potential. And he has 3 years on his contract. Who would take him? The reason I say no, is mainly because I believe he'll turn into an old, in shape, 7 footer, that works harder, and can get to that potential. I know he has a bad contract, but if he works hard then we have a good contract. Plus if he works hard he'd be a more-than-solid defensive player. I'd like it he maybe crashed the boards a little.

How did he not reach his potential?   He played a more team game then a me game.  The reason he didn't average 20 and 10 for his prime is because he sacrificed his own numbers too win.

Lol. So how do you feel about Perkins? He has around the same amount of technicals as Rasheed. Gimme a break.

I can't really think of a deal (that another team would do) where we'd get better by trading Sheed.  While I'd do any trade that would make the team better, I think Rasheed's a big part of our championship aspirations.

Ah, though I don't necessarily agree, I do see where you're coming from with that :)

Unless he can be traded for a player of equal caliber who can back up (and possibly replace) Kevin Garnett for multiple games in post season play...and I have no idea who that might be....you can not be serious about trading Rasheed.  He played extremely well against Toronto, in the starting role, going both inside and out and playing defense as well as offense.  What more do you want coming off the bench?  I have not checked his salary, but it seems to me that his contract was not unreasonable although it was for multiple years.

The reason he never averaged 20 and 10 is laziness.  You think he tried to be a below average rebounder in order to fit in with his teams?

This isn't Magic, Bird, Pippen, or KG here.  This is a guy who has coasted through much of his career.  CTC- cut the check.

Name me a player on the bench who brings more overall talent, versatility  and experience (and, yes, passion)who can be had for the same money.

With Mikki Moore in the starting lineup do the Celts beat Toronto the other night?

Come playoff time we will all be very happy to have Sheed around.

Hell, I'm happy now.  But I'm just a happy kind of guy.  :D
