Perks D needs improvement, he gets lost on the pick and roll, he should end up in the paint, he goes low, the other C goes high, basics he would have learned in college...he is coming along greatly, his O is on the money, sheldon is solid and will get better with more time playing with the C's....
Uh what? I'm really confused here, Perk does not get lost on the pick and roll

Perk does, in fact, get lost on the pick and roll sometimes. He is by far the most overrated defender on this board. His strong point is putting a body on guys. Other than that, he is average in most other aspects of defense.

Wow....I really think he says stuff just to get a reaction......... :o
Or maybe he was giggling like a little schoolgirl while writing it? ;)

I could imagine doing that.

And I love how there's not many people around here that try to walk that thin line. And the ones that do, get nipped in the bud (is that how you say/spell that?) before all hell breaks lose.

I remember I got a warning too, a while ago :D

We're not trading anyone. All the people we would trade are starting and/or playing meaningful minutes, why would we swap them out for players who don't know the system.

School girl? Not a school boy? You imagine some strange things, assuming, of course, that you are male.

Kudos to Nickagneta and Who for panning out the scenarios, but I still wouldn't do such a trade.

I know it's only three games, but Sheed really impressed me in our opening game against CLE, the Christmas Game in ORL, and the Spurs game. All big games, and in each game he had positive output. All three games were BIG games.

Only game I saw of the three was the Christmas game, and Sheed Stayed in the Post and worked, for the most part. Two or Three dunks, with ORL players nearby. He took his time down there and showed me some skill down low. Him, Perk and KG (VS Lewis) came up big down low for us that game, and if Sheed had chosen to stay outside we wouldn't have won that game.

I can certainly understand bloggers here putting in the time and working up trade scenarios....Sheed going cold from the outside baffles me to no end and at times it seems as if he doesn't care. Maybe he is more focused in the Playoffs?

But I want him onboard in June, though.

He gets lost and makes mistakes like any player. But overall his pick and roll defense is fine.

Hahaha, well, I can giggle like a schoolgirl, but that doesn't make me one.

... does it?

Besides, I don't think any man, guy or boy, ever "giggles" ;)

I could imagine doing that. How about respond to others posts as if they are sitting next to you in a bar or at the game. everyone deserves an opinion here, and if you and your cronies don't agree just say your opinion, simply, instead of trying to hide the attack. It doesn't make you look any better than the other guys here.

I kind of did. And it wasn't an attack. I could seriously imagine that :) I don't disagree with the fella, in fact, I plan on looking at Perks D tonight to see how he fares with pick-and-rolls. I've never really bothered to look at that since he's known for his D, and the only one I think is really crap at it on our squad, is Rondo. That is largely due to Rondo's size disadvantage when there's bigs setting picks, something Perk should have no trouble with; hence why I want to have a look at how he's crap at it.

I think the internet twists my words every now and then. I was trying to ridicule myself, saying I could imagine sitting at the computer, giggling like a little schoolgirl.

Apologies if it came across any different.

So nba coaches and their assistants don't teach things that players should learn in college? They let them make the same mistakes time after time and never correct them?

I don't see the risk being worth the potential reward in any reasonable scenario involving a trade of Rasheed -- unless it's future reward you are looking for.  For this years' campaign, I can't see anyone coming in, fitting in immediately and giving the C's more than Wallace does.  He also has been more focused of late on the post and will play more down low in the playoffs.

One more comment: trading Rasheed after the full-court press to get him at the sound of the FA bell last year seems counter-productive to me.  Yes, everyone knows that "it's a business", however, businesses reap what they sow. If we ship out Sheed after 3 months, any future FA who is deciding between the lure of a championship opportunity in Boston v. a similar lure in LA, San Antonio, Orlando, Miami..., will think twice about opting for the cold winter.

What exactly does anyone think we could get for Rasheed?
"He trades like a drunk Texas oilman trying to impress a beautiful woman"
