And yet another foul for Scal way to contribute

You think he should have conceded the open dunk instead?
Apparently...

Flopping doesn't work in the NBA often especially for scrubs.  He could have actually tried to keep the man in front of him and go for the block but Scal isn't athletic enough for that.

Are you talking about the foul on Scal when he attempted to draw the charge?

HAHAHAHA Scal fumbled his way into an assist .

Good catch that's exactly what happened there.  Hey luck counts though.  Who knows maybe Scal will make a few shots tonight also.  He is shooting less than 10% for his last several games.

All in All not bad. JR and Lester OK. Have to wonder if Bill Walker would not be better than JR. Are they trying to get some trade interest going.

JR passes up another shot :-\

Wait so he should have tried to make a play beyond his athletic ability, which would have resulted in an easy dunk/layup?

You have a warped perception of how a player should defend the fastbreak. If you can avoid fouling and challenge the shot that's all well and good. But when you're beat you have to make the other team earn it at the charity stripe.

Scal gets on the floor because he always gives full effort and does what he is told to do.  You can have all the talent in the world but you have to play with in the team concept.

I don't think BBD's strong play has been unnoticed at all. He's just only played in four games total, including tonight.

Yeah, I went too far with "unnoticed" but he has been great in every game. Hustling on every play, getting offensive rebounds, finishing his plays - great offensive moves -. He is a little bit lost on D sometimes and struggles with his shot but he's been great and brings a lot of energy everytime.

Not too mention he was about a milli-second behind successfully drawing a charge.

I have absolutely no quibbles at all stepping in the path of a guy on a breakaway and attempting to drawing a charge.

Hudson with a good penetration!

The Banks' three hurt and so did Scal on the next possession... the guy is useless, we play 4 on 5 everytime he is on the court.

He didn't do much in the Orlando game, but other than that he's been great.

C's just need to hold on until Ray/Sheed get back in.

Close to getting the starters back in.  This second unit has held its own to start off the 4th.

Scal coming off a pick, wide open at the free throw line?  TAKE THAT SHOT, [dang it]. He refuses to shoot.

Maybe you weren't watching the play but there were 3 Celtics back on that fast break so there was no need to make a desperation attempt at drawing a charge.  But you are right Scal doesn't have the athletic ability to defend which is why he flops/reaches in so often.

Shelden got fouled repeatedly, he needs to recognize when he has a man up in there and go up for a shot!
