Ramon Sessions?

Is Ramon Sessions on the trading block? If so, what are we waiting for assuming the price is right. Even if he's not the greatest we could desparately use a backup PG.

I seriously dont know what Ainge is waiting for! despite the fact that Sessions is a backup PG he can actually score he can play a Delonte West type of role on this Celtics team! he gets paid 3mil a yr for 3 yrs which is a good contract so i dont know what the C's are waiting for cause the Lakers bench is crap and i expect them to make a move

He would be a great fit, but I just don't think we would have anything to offer for him. The Twolves need help at the wing positions. I suppose we could offer Daniels, but I don't know if that strengthens the bench. Minny is already going to be way under the salary cap next year and sessions is a young, good cheap PG so it's not like they will just give him away for a salary dump.

Jonny Flynn, and maybe Ricky Rubio, is the future at point guard in Minnesota, and with the T-Wolves in full on rebuilding mode, many contenders would love to have Sessions as an extra ball-handler and distributor. It may not be for a while, but expect him to eventually be moved.

Sessions can play some shooting guard as well as point, which works in his favor

he's a prime candidate to be traded by the Feb. 18 deadline.

It's almost inevitable that one of these two players will be traded. Two point guards capable of starting in the NBA on the same team; it's kind of a giveaway

His contract comes off the books after this upcoming season, and he could be an asset to another young, upcoming team that needs depth at the three and the four spots. What could we get? Second round pick, cash, and a young bench player that needs some playing time, i.e J.R Giddens or Bill Walker.

Would make the trade for Gomes while we're at it.

Boston adds two strong bench players at reasonable contracts for the next few seasons.

Minn gets another 1st to help rebuild around Flynn and Jefferson

Minn save money this year (about 1.2 in less salaries and tax plus 1.4 million with the TE and tax)

Minn saves money next year with Scali, JR and TA off the books (though I would not be surprised if TA starting there earns another small contract)

The money sent can be used to buyout Scali, who can then return to Boston when the Celtics waive Jawia.

Doable, TP. They don't get talent back. But since they are rebuilding a 1st round pick goes a long way. And CASH!!!

Love it. Doubt this is available to the Cs, but if it were -- take it. I'd then look to trade either Gomes or Baby for a 3. Baby to Portland for Travis Outlaw comes to mind.

Thanks. If I follow the logic correctly we need to make a trade before the deadline or we leave trade-assets on the table (i.e. use-or-lose). With the needs we have, and we are going for a championship with a closing window-of-opportunity, it would seem we would be hearing more trade talk. With the need of immediate bench help are we not going to make a trade now? Making the same trade 3 months from now will help but those bench players could sure be used now...
