Maybe there is something to this young guy/old guy rift. On several occasions tonight Ray has just refused to pass the ball to Rondo. Rondo would be calling for the ball, be wide open or running on the break and Ray just seems to be ignoring him.

Ray should never handle the ball in the open court if Rondo is in the game.

I don't think Ray and Rondo like each other at all. This goes all the way back to 2007 and spilled out in the Christmas game last year. At the Comcast pre-season media luncheon in 07, Ray made some comments about how important it was for Rondo to find him in the places he likes to shoot the ball. Not that that's a bad thing in itself, but he didn't say anything about what he would do to reciprocate as a teammate to help Rondo's game. He said he approached Rondo in pre-season workouts to give him advice about how to get him the ball in stride, etc. It totally came across as me-first.

You might be right about them not liking each other. This isn't the first time I have noticed this, though, maybe it's just a coincidence and I'm reading way too much inti it. Which is also very possible.

I don't mind the blowout but I can't watch the game anymore because Doc has put Rondo back in the game when it's obvious he is in PAIN, and he keeps Ray and Sheed in the game. What is he trying to do?!

Win a basketball game. It's his freaking job. Everybody has already got your point. If they don't make a run early in the 4th, there'll be plenty of garbage time to watch the scrubs, so quit the drama.

Do you really think you increase your chances of winning this game by overplaying the starters when they let Frye shoot wide open 3's all night long?

No, you just increase your chances of injuring your key players and thus losing more games during the season. Not a good strategy.

Don't give up yet guys the C's are just a 20-0 run from taking over this game!  They might even reach 100 points against one of the worst defensive teams in the league.

Nice to see the perimeter defense is sharp tonight, allowing Channing Frye to shoot without resistance.

Ray Allen and Rondo are still out there in a blowout win --- WHY DOC WHY.   This game is over and there is no need to risk further injury/fatigue.

what part of sit the starters does Doc not get? this game is long over and you have tired, injured and gimpy team that has lost its way

You're assuming that Glenn's rotations and minutes make any sense in any situation where he doesn't have five All-Star candidate starters. This is what it's like when our roster is depleted and we're comparable to a typical NBA team. Total guesswork.

It's OK, Bill Walker will get in with 0:50 to go.

Hurrah, Ray is on the bench! Maybe he will get back on the court in 5 minutes.

the celtics mailed this game in before it even started...yet a gimpy rondo and a tired ray still playing. this just proves that giddens and walker will NEVER get any run...with all the injuries, blowout, heavy minutes...they still sit. is it possible the season is on the verge of imploding?

Don't be ridiculous. We're not anywhere close to a championship team man. We should trade Ray, Pierce and KG. They're old but still have value. Throw Rondo in too, he's a turnover machine that can't shoot. Sheed is not worthy of green either.

;)
