If PHX can force a 24-secomd violation with their bench guys, you know the C's are in trouble.

OK Doc, now you can rest Rondo and Perk too, give them the night off, and unleash the whole bench for 2 quarters and a half.

You know I'm so depressed right now that I'd be happy with that.

How fast things change in the NBA --- on Christmas Day the Celtics were at the top after beating Orlando on the road without Paul Pierce.

Now they are getting blasted by Phoenix after two inexcusable losses to the Clippers and Golden State, two of the bottom teams in the NBA.

The optimist will say that once they get healthy things will be fine.  The realist will say that there are serious issues on this team that might not go away with a flick of the wrist.

And to hear Ric Bucher and Bill Simmons talking today --- the Celtics are in trouble and mostly because of Rasheed being washed up AND serious infighting between the younger players and veterans.  Very interesting perspective that people aren't talking much about.
We've been talking about it here, and in general, don't believe the two west coast guys that are never around the team.

Missed several good, wide-open shots: *WE* held ourselves to 28%.

Their D is better than it normally is, but it's not *that* good m8.

OK< someone talk me down from the disliking Doc ledge.

I just can't accept Ray getting 40+ minutes in a loss tonight. And if it isn't going to be real Rondo, then why is he still playing?

You were really expecting something different? Has any coach quit a game after 1 quarter in the history of the league?

If the Celtics can start rebounding and defend a little better, offence will take care of itself.

I know people have varying opinions on Bill Simmons especially but he does know basketball and loves the Celtics.  He was also at the Clippers game courtside and talked about lots of what went on at that game between the guys.

As bad as the score looks, we are losing this game due to supremely awful interior defense and poor outside shooting on open looks.
