People underestimate KG's influence.  They underestimated it after we traded for him but before  he started playing, and they're underestimating it now.

The main reason we like bigs to play down low is the high shooting percentage one can expect from in close.  Look at KG's shooting percentage.  And for rebounding.  Look at KG's rebounding numbers.

I like him down low for his passing/helping to run the offense from there, but I have zero problem with him taking jumpers when he's not there, however.

KG turned the Celtics into champions playing his way.  Let him continue to play his way, especially if his career lasts longer due to less banging.  You want a healthy KG?  Be careful what you wish for....

Sheed is playing a lot against second-tier bigs, but is still a premier big himself.  He's also playing low minutes.  So it's Sheed who needs to get down low, bang around and score.

Not KG.

I agree.  Plus KG is hitting an amazing 55% of his field goal attempts so that shows that he his taking the right kind of shots.  Wallace, at 39% needs to take more makeable shots.

The biggest "size" problem I see right now, is that we have a guy who is extremely effective on the low-post, but who is too lazy to get there and would rather launch three-point bricks than work his body into the paint, (unfortunately). That would be Sheed, in case anyone wasn't sure.

Good Discussion here..I have been wondering the same thing, but more along the lines of Sheed...

The Christmas Game was a VERY impressive game for Sheed, IMO. It was one of the few I have seen on TV this year, and Sheed looked Impressive to say the least...Down In The Post....

I wish I could answer everyone's questions about our Post Problems. They are baffling to me, too. Sheed abused Dwight and anyone else that was on him back on Christmas...in the paint.

So that being said I guess we ALL know that Sheed CAN play in the post...why he Doesn't keeps me scratching my head..at the rate I'm going I'm reaching my skull ;D.

Perk is certainly trying...even with him still learning the offensive side of the game I give him credit for his contributions. He will be even more of a "Beast"  down low in a couple of years if he keeps working, and we all know he will.

In a perfect game, with both Sheed and KG on floor at same time, Sheed should be down low in the paint, with KG outside. I'm sure many of you feel same way, I'm just venting.

We should've punished GSW (and the Clips) down low..don't know why we didn't.

I'm like many of you in seeing that this is a problem....we are going to need to develop a Consistent Post Game (Sheed), especially against LA. Bynum and Gasol CAN be had, but we need to start doing it now instead of waiting until Jan 31, Feb 18 or even June.

Man...I REALLY MISS KEVIN MCHALE and THE CHIEF...remember that Spin move Chief had on the post? He'd have the ball, spin, take a few steps (Travel ;D?) and flush it.
