At least teams like Golden State who are small.  I remember Rasheed saying as a Piston something like "let them go small, we will punish them with size."  I just don't understand why KG and Sheed were taking jumpers instead of working in the post against Golden State.

So much for Rasheed posting up more.  He took five shots and they all were 3's.  Pathetic.  You have to respect Perk for putting forth the effort to get the best shots possible.  Sheed just looks so freaking lazy.  KG didn't do much down low either.  If those guys don't want the ball down there, just keep feeding Perk.  He is by far our best post up player, and he wants to play down there.  He doesn't always look pretty but nobody can argue with his shooting percentage.

imo Sheed is the one who should be down there more than KG....KG's jumper is too consistent to worry about his offense in the post.  Sheed playing too much on the outside hurts us, however...

I do like KG down low of course...he's a great interior passer and passer in general down there....I'd like to see plenty of offense flow through him...whether or not he shoots.

Wishing for Sheed to take less 3's and post up more is like wishing for TA to become an intelligent player.  It's just going to frustrate you if you wish too hard.

Radmanović owned KG!!
I don't want this team turn into Toronto, that's why we need Paul back ASAP, we and Rondo are the only driving (effective) players on the team, put Tony in there as well but he's the 4-5 option on the floor

Mentally weak ... unwilling to put the effort in.

It's a pity because they're both terrific post up players when they go down there.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Because take a jumper is so much easier.

Because both of them and the coach loves the jumpshooting big man.  I do not think there is the push most of us fans want with getting those guys in the low post.

Sheed abused the crap out of Brian Skinner and DeAndre Jordan TWO DAYS AGO. My what short memories we have.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

In the first half.  And then in the second half, he started launching 3's, early in the shot-clock.

People underestimate KG's influence.  They underestimated it after we traded for him but before  he started playing, and they're underestimating it now.

The main reason we like bigs to play down low is the high shooting percentage one can expect from in close.  Look at KG's shooting percentage.  And for rebounding.  Look at KG's rebounding numbers.

I like him down low for his passing/helping to run the offense from there, but I have zero problem with him taking jumpers when he's not there, however.

KG turned the Celtics into champions playing his way.  Let him continue to play his way, especially if his career lasts longer due to less banging.  You want a healthy KG?  Be careful what you wish for....

Sheed is playing a lot against second-tier bigs, but is still a premier big himself.  He's also playing low minutes.  So it's Sheed who needs to get down low, bang around and score.

Not KG.

I think they both do.

Not on every play, but a lot more then they have been doing.

Too many good things can happen

1)  High percentage shots
2)  Pulling double teams to good passing big men
3)  Creates more fouls leading to more FTs and big man foul trouble for the other team
4)  Puts there defenders off balance having to go from defending low post to pick and rolls to outside jumps shots.

I think both lack the stamina and overall health to keep in the post as much as people like. Or at least post up effectively. If they try to go down low when they're gassed it won't do much good.
