Doc forgot Ray once again. Does he not know we have an allstar? Where the hell was Ray Allen in the first 3quarter? We had TA taking jumpers, we had sheed bombing 3's........ Yet Ray took only 9shots first 3 quarters. And 3shots in the 4th. Note to Doc: Give Ray Allen more Shots.

Ray Allen: 6 for12
Sheed: 4 for 16
TA: 4 for 10

Ray Allen needs to shoot more than 12shots. And why is Sheed taking twice as many 3points as Ray???

HOW...IS THIS ON DOC

Did Doc miss both of Rondo's freethrows?

"Forgetting about Ray Allen"

Doc "forgetting about Ray Allen"

had so little to do with this loss

that I am speachless.

Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Plus doc did not even rethink of the defense they would put on the final play, come on, everyone knows Baron is gonna take the ball, its a catch and shoot situation, why they did not double Baron by denying him the ball, or atleast put Rasheed back and pressure the guy inbounding the ball to commit a mistake.. its textbook defense with a second left on the clock, they simply allowed Baron to get the [dang]ed ball. \\\\they were thinking so much of the Rondo misses that they forgot to play yextbook defense on the final play thinking OT...just plain sucks :(

When the greatest shooter ever takes 9shots in 3quarter, Its on Doc. Ray Allen is here for a reason, USE HIM!

Sorry, but this one is on the team ... ALL of them, for failing to execute, failing to play consistently tight defense, and making poor decisions, Ray INCLUDED ... he took a couple of horrible jump-shots at the end when he had a clear lane to the basket. They win as a team and lose as a team.

Agree with this topic line, but in a different way... (repost from game thread)

I believe this will be my 2nd time saying this... I love Doc, but yet his coaching once again stunk tonight. I Soley blame Doc's coaching on this game particularly towards the end. It happened when the C's played the sixers "Doc took TA out of the game for no reason and he'll playing fine to subb in Pierce, and the game totally changed". Outcome we lost by 1 point. Tonight we're up by the points and TA is playing great defense and what Doc does again? He subbs TA out with Perkins and inserted Rasheed to brick yet another three and eddie house to be a stand still, resulting in no point scored and no defenders in the game to bother the shot of Rasual Butler shooting a three to tie the game over Ray Allen in transition. Doc messed this game up!!!  Baaaaaad Coaching...

Agree with the thread also to a point.  Why did Doc leave Rondo on the bench for so long in the 4th quarter?

And what was the defensive call near the end of the game?  What could possibly have been discussed in the timeout that would allow Rasul Butler, the CLippers best shooter to be left wide open for a 3 pointer.  How could that happen?  So what if Davis drove to the hoop and scored, the C's would have still been up by 1 with the ball!  That play was the worst possible defense in that situation and there is no excuse for that

Sheed was 4-16 shooting in this one, including 0-6 from deep.
I love Sheed, but hate to see him being forced into taking that many shots.

I think this one shows us we are going to need a legit back up to Pierce. Tony Allen does not cut it. Maggette or Nocioni, please.

What game were you watching tonight? Tony allen had 10 points and 10 rebounds and other than ROndo, was the only guy who really had a solid game.

They ran a lot of plays for Ray Allen. The Clippers stuck to him hard and rarely let him catch the ball except well behind the 3 point line.

And what happened to fouling up 3points? jadams5214 you're correct. The best scenario was letting Baron drive and give up 2points, but 3 defender collapsed in. And left Rasul Butler wide up. Bad Coaching at the end. And sheed jacking up 3's is just unacceptable. Its good that he spaces the floor, but taking twice as many 3's as Ray Allen is just wrong.

If we had shot better than 8% (say what?) from 3 point land we would have won this game and Doc would've been off the hook.

I don't care who gets the blame. We win when we play as a team. When we don't, we lose as a team. And we don't blame individuals with a squad as good as this.

You can always use ifs but they are merely excuses.  But you are right as a team they blew this game.  Poor offense down the stretch, choking on free throws, the worst up by 3 points defense you will ever see in the NBA all add up to a team loss against a bad team.
