I'm gonna be a party pooper and actually say I gained a little respect for the Lakers fan.

They booed their own team off the court.

They threw foam fingers... that's just all the nastiness with none of the bite.

They got railed by the Cavs, whom we crapped upon handily.

They're just such scrubs.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I'm gonna be a party pooper and actually say I gained a little respect for the Lakers fan.  As a Celtics fan we are very different.  Different teams, different players to love, different culture, and we are much, much better than them.  But one thing that does unite us along with every fan in the NBA league, and that is our hatred towards the refs.  Maybe this is what it needs for Stern to start playing some attention, but I like that the fans felt like they were getting jipped and actually did something about it.

I dunno if the foam finger throwers (great name for a lakers blog) were directing the frustration at the refs. It seemed like it was directed at the players for wasting so much time (from what I can see in the youtube clip), correct me if I'm wrong.

This is also the second time this season the home fans have turned on this team I believe...

Actually I kind of agree with Amonkey.

It really seemed like Jackson orchestrated the whole techical situatio to get the fans to say what he couldnt.

Wow. Their fans just made an embarrassing home loss worse. The home teams who played before them yesterday all had tough losses but their fans didn't do anything this silly.

This is a perfect example of stars setting the example ... Lakers fans are as classless as Kobe is, and it rears it's ugly head anytime they lose a game by big numbers. This time it was Christmas and a National audience ... about time the rest of the world got to see what we've known for years.  :P

The whole thing brings back Pleasant memories - Game 4 2007-2008 NBA Finals. Laker Fans dancing in the crowd. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith courtside. Camera pans on Jack Nicholson, the whole nine. All of this while the Lakers WERE dominating the Celtics, for a minute.

Then the Onslaught occured, lol...

Entire crowd silent...Jack is steaming, arms crossed over his chest...KG, Pierce and Ray Ray during their thing, PJ dunking over Kobe, Posey and Eddie bombing from long range, Rondo creating havoc...Perk just working (man he's come a LONG way)...

Sorry just went down memory lane for a minute.

To their (LA Fans) credit, though..at least then they didn't throw the foamies on the court back then ;D.

My question is: If they did this last night and it was CLEVELAND...what would they have done if it was BOSTON giving them this punishment?

I have said it before, Derek Fisher is the leagues' dirtiest player.

Without question
- and the player I hate the most in the NBA.  I detest him.

Hasn't the league and Espn and the rest of the Laker Lover's fan club tried to convince us that the Lakers are the class of the league?????  Ha Ha Ha

And they call US fair weather fans? One minute they're booing, the next they're chanting defense.

I think it was the fans that "wet the bed" this tim ;D

Foam fingers??? I think that fan base is as soft as the team they cheer. Good thing thing the Lakers don't play in Phili, as it would be batteries instead of foam.

True that! lol

OT.  I see Kobe took 32 shots and only made 11.  ;D  I thought he didn't need to take that much of the load when he has Gasol, the All-Mighty Bynum and Artest, not to mention Odom. Or was that just a case of stat padding?

In other Faker news an injury has now hit them, perhaps Ron resorted to his old days after the beatdown and chug back on some hennessey  :

Lakers forward Ron Artest will probably miss tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings after tripping over a box and falling down a set of stairs at home Friday night, according to a statement released by the Lakers.
Artest was treated at the UCLA Medical Center emergency room and was released after undergoing a series of tests, including a CT scan. He received stitches on the back of his head and his elbow.
