Minutes are down for the three key old men.  (heck, I think minutes are down for Po as well since we are talking about old men)

Less minutes does not prevent infection.

Less minutes does not prevent being over careful early in the season with minor injuries on KG.

I am worried that with Pierce and Daniels out, that Ray might have a minutes jump because the combo of TA and Walker/JR will not be good enough.

Another misconception BB does not want to be a rebounder, he wants to be an outside shooter.....Sheldon is the better player, BB is proof of my concept though, his extra playing time and his chance to start last year brought him into his best form, and he almost lost some weight like he said he would.

Actually, the Celtics wanted him to be an outside shooter.  Like PJ Brown.  Like Wallace.  Like Scali.  Like KG.  Like they did with Gomes.

He did what they asked by developing that shot.  (much like Perk who doesn't use it often)

, I am, NOT taking anyone on, these are just things i wish would happen, Doc did develop Rondo, and Doc has some very good points, his last minute plays are great. Playing these guys that we have in prime time, it is my opinion, is the only way for them to show what they can do now, and in case of injuries, that is what the regular season is for, especially before Christmas, the first half of the season...So, don't take this as me vs any of you, I don't want that, it is Christmas, I just want to really see what these players we have can do, look what styarting one time last year did for BBD.....Even Tommy said try Hudson more, do  you think he knows nothing about the game...also, i just don't see any woth in scal, and i have tried, sheldon should be there always ahead of scal, he gets so many more rebounds and can do something with them, can shoot, and his D is as good or better,,,,i can't believe i said as good, scals d is.....ugh, he is lost.

I don't think anyone is taking anything you say personally.  There just isn't alot of agreement with your current opinion of Doc's rotation.  (which is fine both ways.  A lot more interesting around here when there are differing opinions)

Fair enough just don't expect Doc to sacrifice wins for the minutes for the younger players.  He holds home court advantage pretty high, IMO.

Merry Christmas.

Well, everyone should have some type of outside shot, for sure, basketball is what they do for a living, but don't we need a rebounder like LEON, my fav player, ? Sheldon = Leon, and we won the champ because of Leons contributions, and everyone else....(except scal) Scal should wave the towel..!

i think he should.  having to face cleveland and/or magic in the playoffs, home court will be very beneficial.  the finals too  ;D.   plus that means i potentially get to see more games in the playoffs

I know about home court, and i want it too, but with these injuries, which can always happpen...that is why i want to develop the younger guys first, as insurance policies, depth, and new looks for the other teams to adjust to, and poss get tired out chasing them, with Marques TA, rondo maybe ray and sheed, that is a fast team, look what Chicago did against us with it, or something like that lineup..i know injurues happen, that is why doc should insulate himself with stronger & experienced young guys, you know what i am driving at.....i know it isn't popular, I'd love to just hammer other teams with our main 6 guys, but that doesn't last, the only guy who never got hurt was MJ...jordon

Oh I agree just stating what I feel Doc might be thinking when not playing the younger guys.

What i meant to say is injuries can keep you from getting home court also, so that is why in the early season, you develop your insurance policiy guys, good strong subs for each position, and we have those guys on our bench, we even have scal to sub for ML Carr, if he would only practice with that towel..!

the issue is marquis and bbd are both injured.  those 2, along with sheed, eddie, and the starting 5, is our main rotation.

who exactly do u want to develop??  giddens...garbage.  walker....i could see giving him a shot.  hudson.....rookie, should be in dleague (doc knows what he has with him through training camp and practices).

tony allen, scal, and sheldon are all fillers, meant to play variously based on situations, matchups, and injuries.

sheldon and walker, i thought giddens too, but i could be wrong....i haven't ever seen giddens ever get to really play that long or with the startes...that is my point, gotta play these guys with the startes, when you play young guys with the second or third string, everyone out there is trying to make there name, there isn't much passing or teamwork, they are trying to show what they can do....but, i could be wrong, i just want a stronger team, and i like what i see from sheldon for sure...

sheldon is young, but he likely wont develop much more.  he has played decent minutes this season with bbd being injured.

giddens is terrible.....when he is playing with scrubs, he will be eaten alive or foul out against higher calibur players. he would be a liability.  i would rather see tony allen or scal play over him (that should tell u something).

walker, i have no problem seeing what he can do, especially while we are banged up

I think Doc is underplaying the starters a little. Ray/Pierce/KG in the range of minutes that they should be playing. But Rondo/Perk should play more IMO. There's no reason why Rondo and Perk can't play another 2-3 minutes/game.
