Anyone watching this team and thinking it is championship caliber, even with Garnett, is wearing the greenest shade of glasses. There is little or no effort right now. I just don't but this they will turn it on when they feel like it story. I am very worried and feel that Ainge needs to make some moves to strengthen a weak, weak bench.

I'm slightly tempted to change my answer from "we'll be fine, you big sally" to "I'm not worried", but I'd like to see the team play a few games after KG comes back before I start to panic like that.

Truthfully, I'm not concerned enough to change answers, but if I refrain from calling the other posters Sallys then maybe the mods will look at some of my posts in the current event forum with a less jaundiced eye.

Ah, voting was confidential. I doubt it will make a difference.

Well, there's confidential to other posters, and there's confidential to mods.

In any case, after having spent a few minutes on the boards today, I can't, in good conscience, go away from calling many of the posters Sallys.

I don't feel much desire to be worried about this.  I have come to the conclusion that they will sink of swim with their health.  If their main guys are all healthy for the playoffs, they will be incredibly hard to beat.  If they are not...my schedule in late May will be opening up quickly.

And yet, as flawed as this team is, they're three games back from having the best record in the NBA.

Why do fans only focus on our flaws, and not those of the Cavs, Magic, and Lakers?

Also, for the record:  I'm not worried.  Disappointed at times, but not worried.

Are you worried at all about the injuries?  Because IMO, that is the only reason to be worried.

Because we're supposed to be better than them.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Says who?  Those are all incredibly talented teams, and I think all 4 teams were considered to be pretty even before the season (along with San Antonio).

No doubt.  I don't know why any fan would think that we were hands-down better than the Lakers, Cavs, and Magic.  If those are the expectations that fans have -- that we'd waltz all over every team in the league without any struggles -- then I guess I can understand the angst.

Not yet.  If KG is having knee issues heading into the playoffs, I'll be worried, but right now I'll just accept the reasoning that they're being abundantly cautious.
