my worry is now at level orange

Are we talking syracuse orange, or like...agent orange?

So who wants to change their vote?

Eh, I am no more worried than I was a couple days ago.  My worry is about Pierce's knee, nothing else.  This team will be fine, as long as they can kill the infection.

Yeah I have the same sentiments but my stance is willful ignorance, rather than actually look at possible facts.

Ya know, looking at the schedule and the timing, I wouldn't be surprised at all if this whole infection thing is a fabrication to give Paul some 'strategic time off', or whatever Danny calls it..

By using an infection as the reason he's out, you can bring him back anytime you want without red flags being raised.  That'd be the Belicheck-ian thing to do, yeah?

Honestly with the team being sneaky (misleading dishonest, whatever...potato potato) right now that's as good a guess as any, which is depressing.

Somehow I think taking him out right before the Christmas Day game against the Magic was not a very "strategic" time for rest.  Losing a second game to the Magic would have really put unnecessary pressure on them, when it comes to gaining home court.  Pierce would have flew down to Florida on his own, and just shown up on the court, if he was able to play.

Besides, there is a difference between downplaying injuries, and not giving the whole story, and completely fabricating injuries.  Beyond the fact that players and agents might have a problem with it, there are all kinds of possible legal ramifications with things like that.

So while there may be more to the story (my conspiracy theory is that Pierce had unreported surgery on the knee in the offseason, and this infection sprung up from there), I don't think it is that plausible that they completely fabricated it, just to give Pierce some rest.

It looks like people actually bought into the "C's can win 72 games this year" hype, and now people are nervous that we are only a game away from the best record in the league.

My old man just said "Ha, the Celtics have absolutely no chance of winning tonight. None."

Then, I informed him that KG and Rondo were both questionable. He responded "Well, you never know with these guys. Maybe they'll pull together and pull one out"

I think we, as rational Celtics Nation, need to take fans like my dear ol dad, and inform them to stop taking crazy pills before they talk about the Celtics. We ought also to inform them that in 2007-2008 they already had more losses by Christmas than this team has now.

Of course, that would be a lie, but if you can't lie to a crazy person, who can you lie to?

Oh, I think they do.  They certainly think being healthy for the playoffs is more important, but to me, it has been clear that Doc has done everything he can to win every game he can.  If he really didn't care, he would be playing the younger guys more, and giving guys like Rondo and Ray a ton of rest.  But Doc is trying to win as many games as he can, because he knows it is going to be a battle all season.

my thing is this...it is obvious that no matter what they arent going to play walker or giddens....which in situations like this means ray gets more minutes....i think the last few drafts have not been kind to boston

Wow...all our players going down all of a sudden...it's hard even for me to find sunshine through the clouds :o.

Well..at least this is happening now, rather than May or June. Can't blame any of these injuries on their minutes either, I don't think.

I guess this is what they call a rough stretch of the season?

Well, we'll get through this. Sheed will come through tonight, and TA will continue his solid play. And we'll still have Shelden, Eddie and Scal on the bench. Perk will continue his solid play, and Rondo won't disappoint.

And The Captain returns on Saturday.

If I was PHX, I wouldn't sleep on us. We're the Celtics.

Worried about the injuries.

worried Doc will overplay Ray Allen again.
He should be kept to 35 mins, max.  Don't want him to also be out hurt....
Celtics fan for life.

only way to keep ray's minutes down is to play walker or giddens...which doc refuses to do

Good Point...for some reason, Doc's never been one to play young guys. He's always been like this for some reason.
