I'm not worried.  Better that this things are happening in December than April/May.

This team has had few hiccups.  The KG thing just sounded precautionary and as long as Pierce's injury is as stated, I think this team will be fine.

As long as our starters are healthy come playoff time (and no unforseen events occur with our bench), I don't see a team that can beat us 4 out of 7.

A little worried. But wont be officialy worried until I see how the team plays w/o him. Who knows, this might pull the team together and make them play a little harder during his absence. They know they wont be able to take any team lightly.

OK, I need to stop thinking about this, because I am getting concerned.

For Garnett, I just have a feeling he won't play tomorrow.  Even though Doc said he would, Ainge has been much less confident, and even threw out the "nothing structural" line that we heard so much last year.  But beyond tomorrow, I am not that concerned, because I think this is part of the process, and he will be OK in the longrun.

Pierce, I am more concerned for.  Infections are nothing to sneeze at, and this sounds like it was a bad one to flare up so badly, so quickly.  I have a feeling that 2 weeks is very optimistic, and this is the type of thing that could really linger and cause a lot of damage.

With all of that said...it's december, and nothing really matters until April.  So even in a worst case scenario, they have time to either get better, or for the team to make some moves.  This team has great depth, and now they are going to need it.

A little worried that the injuries are more serious than is being let on.

Sad because was looking forward to seeing both games at full strength. Selfishly feeling bad that there's final a good slate of Celtic's games on TV and we're not at full strength.

My worry about Pierce is that even if they are telling the truth, they cannot possibly know how bad it is at this point.  Torn ligaments are one thing, but infections are unpredictable.

Im very worried.  Older guys bodies break down easier.  I know PP is a warrior and would play if there was any chance he could.  But hearing about KG worries me, because they were never honest from the get go about the extent of his injuries.

Of course, I'm not worried... :-\

A lot of board chatter has followed the theme that we need A) a backup PG, and B) another wing off the bench.  The C's happen to be paying TA, Walker, Giddens, Hudson, (throw in Scal if you want), and heaven knows Doc won't play these guys if he can help it.

Now, he can't help it, and one (or some combo) will have the opportunity to show their stuff, and we'll know if any of them can be the 2nd wing off the bench, or if they're really only expiring contracts.  Better to find out in December.

In a way, we'll get to enjoy, for a few games, watching players develop.  If there is anything to miss about the losing seasons, it was watching young players develop into contributors/assets.  (To be clear, I'd rather win than "develop assets" any day, but I like basketball).  I'm not sure what it'll be, but it won't be boring.

Developing players is like raising kids:  let them make mistakes when they're cheap so they won't make them later, i.e. in December, not April (or, for kids, when they're 10, not 17).

I'm a little worried because it's a mathematical formula, so if you're not worried at all, you're slightly wacko. Old players get hurt, one of the big 3 or Rondo get hurt, no chance. That aside, not worried.

Why throw in Scal when Doc's even been playing him over Shelden Williams? TA has played too; even if you want to argue it's because Marquis is out, it's a lot better than nothing right now, and he's been doing well.

First of all, in the practice before Game 1 vs the Bulls last year, KG simply couldn't run and Doc made him sit. KG did full practice today (as did BBD, apparently, which makes me :)). KG said himself that he's playing and won't go into any more detail than that. I think that's more than ok for me.

Secondly, no offense, your post is pure speculation until you can prove you looked at Pierce's knee yourself. There are very few injuries/"complications" in my mind that are "anything to sneeze at", so I'd like you to define that for me while you're at it. Also, Doc already said that Pierce could possibly be back at less than two weeks; if you want to call that optimistic, then I guess we can go with that for now. Right now, I don't feel you have another basis other than your gut to say Pierce could be out longer than described just because it happens to be "nothing to sneeze at".
