It's tough having both Daniel and Pierce out. Rashard Lewis is going to have a field day against Scal, Walker, and TA. The rest of the starters are going to have to step it up big time.

over the next seven? 3 wins vs clippers, warriors and raptors...3 losses to suns, magic and atlanta...heat game is a toss up....if they can go 4-3...it will be a success

This just plain sucks with a capital "S" ... no way around it ... couldn't come at a worse (regular season) time. Upon hearing this I instantly turned into the worst "Screwge" (and I spelled it that way on purpose) that Dickens could have ever imagined.

To heck with a white Christmas, (there's no worries there where I live), I was counting on a GREEN Christmas, and nothing that Santa can or can't fit into his sack of toys is going to quell the disappointment of not having our Captain on the floor against Orlando on Friday. Unless ol' Saint Nick has got a Paul Pierce, (dressed in an away outfit with a ticket to Orlando in his pocket), stuffed into that over-sized red bag of his, he'd better not even think about coming down my chimney!

And just to make sure my disappointment is conveyed to him in the right spirit intended, if he should come down my chimney, there's gonna be a big fire in the firsplace, a starving Rottweiler waiting patiently on the rug, and should he get that far, a little surprise hidden in his cookies and milk! UGH!!

I had a knee infection a few years ago and it was extremely painful.  However, they just treated mine with antibiotics because it was just under the skin and had not gotten into my actual joint area. Mine started hurting badly about 1 hr after playing basketball one morning before work.

I'm no medical professional, but Paul may have slept with this all night if it came on after the game and it spread.  If this is the case, from what I was told, if you wait just a short time to get this treated with antibiotics, it spreads quickly and requires much more agressive treatment.

Maybe Santa will surprise everyone and wheel Pierce out on a wheelchair a la 2008 finals.

The sky is not falling.

Yes, the Orlando game will be tougher, but we do have a buffer in the loss column right now in the East.  We have the Clippers and Golden State after that and as long as we have KG, these games are very winnable.

Remember, Big Baby is making this trip and may actually see action which will give us some more flexibility up front.  The trouble is, we play Phoenix at the tail end of this trip and that is no time to try and play bigger in my opinion.

Just wanted to say, "It's okay".

against the suns, i think boston can get away with going smaller....i think all the games are winnable except orlando

The blessings could be to build up Tony Allen's trade value so we can shore up our rebounding deficiencies or upgrade at the backup wing position and backup PG position.

Anybody know when BBD is coming back?

Wow..this is SO ironic..I was visiting the Laker Blog (Yes for the first time, I was just curious) and they had a picture of Pierce when he was getting carried off like that in that game.

They used it as a prop for one of their fanpost: Most Hated Non-Laker player or something..can't remember the exact title. They had a top-ten list and I'm proud to say that Pierce was Number one on their list, and KG was number 8. They had an assortment of players on the list...I think Bruce Bowen was like 5.

Really funny fanpost. And the bloggers over there were rather respectful, too.

What I find amazing is that when I typed "Pierce injury history" into a google search the first 100 results were all sites where people were bashing Paul for "faking" this injury.  There is a lot of anger and hatred out there for Paul and more than I ever realized before it seems the consensus of people outside of Boston that he faked the whole thing.  I mean, I knew this was one opinion of that event, I just didn't know it was so widely believed.
