Just saw Tony. Great performance by Antonio Banderas and the main actor (Dominic Sessa) was good as well. Nice soundtrack and liked the Cape Cod connection.

I thought it was excellent.

I never cared for Anthony Bourdain. But you dont really need to in order to enjoy the movie. Its just a great coming-of-age film.

One of my only criticisms is that the movie takes place in 1975 but a lot of the dialogue and many of the characters wardrobe seemed too modern. That is something that really drives me up a wall. So many movies nowadays are guilty of it.

Where can I watch this movie? I am from the Cape so want to see some of that.

Wife wanted to see The End of Oak Street, and it had been a while since we?d been to the theater, so I saw that last night.  If you?re into some good family fun, dinosaur adventure gore with loosely plausible Sagan time/space theory mixed in, then this one is for you!  It was pretty well done for what it was.  I enjoyed some mindless entertainment and getting out of my own head for a couple of hours.

Way better than the House at the End of the Street on Netflix.  Run, don?t walk, away from that one!

Yeah.  The very basic premise was interesting, but it failed on every level.

I'm pretty sure my family would have lasted three days before there were casualties.

Anyone seen Odyssey? To see it, but I?ve tried to twist the arms of a few friends, and the three hour runtime intimidate them, they all wanna wait till it gets into streaming. I may end up having to watch myself, at this point I think everyone seen it so I?ll have the whole cinema to myself. Which isn?t necessarily a bad thing given they have reclining seats🤗
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Yes. Save your money. It is mediocre at best. Troy was so much better.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

If I was forced to see only one movie in the theater this year, it would definitely be The Odyssey. Do not wait to see it on streaming, as it is most definitely a cinematic experience. If your lucky enough to see it in IMAX, even better.

The Odyssey is fantastic. I have seen some of the online reviews hating on the movie, and the reasons they provide are laughable.

The acting was not good. Tom Holland, Terrible. Anne Hathaway, Terrible. Matt Damon was OK, but he just didn?t feel like a great fit for the role. If you only care about special effects and not acting, then I guess I guess it?s worth seeing in the theater.

I agree:  it's definitely something you'll want to see in a theater.  I wasn't lucky enough to see it in IMAX, but that would have certainly been even better.

I really enjoyed it.  I mentioned previously, but I'm not in a rush to rewatch it; I think I found it more interesting than something I was emotionally invested in.  And, the ending is a bit "Homer meets John Woo", which was an odd choice.  But, it's good (and better than Troy, particularly the theatrical cut).

Thanks for the advice! I loved Troy and I love Greek mythology (dating back to Clash of the Titans the first one  ;D) so I will take a chance! If I see it on IMAX will it give me motion sickness? Or it just makes it more immersive?

Watch Troy again before you see Odyssey. Curious to see which you find more enjoyable.

It is not 3D or anything so I do not think it will give you motion sickness. The best part is the sound in the theatre for that movie is phenomenal. I really really enjoyed it but definitely think it is a movie for theatres so would recommend trying to see it if possible.
