Gonna watch Boondock Saints again tonight, looking forward to it already :] Think I've seen that movie about 10 times or something.
I saw that right after I started working in Boston and realized I work across the street from where some of the scenes were shot (for the outside hotel scenes).  a little weird being near places used in the movies.
Ah, I know the feeling. I live in the center of Sydney, where they shot most of the Matrix.

I live next to this fountain:

No really, if you look long enough, you'll see a fountain in that picture ;)

The funny thing is, it looks like that every day; it's the central business district (Martin Place). So there's 90% people in suits walking around there :)

Google Streetview link of the place

I live in a building right behind the building to the left :)
OMG Kiork. You live in the Matrix

I saw Now You See Me last night. I thought it was a really cool movie. Very entertaining that kept you interested as you are invited to guess what happens next throughout the entire movie, it is a pretty Hollywood movie, meaning there are some things that you have to let slide, but overall a good movie to watch on a date in the theaters or rent it on DVD.

Saw "Man of Steel" today.  Lots of problems.  It wasn't great.  But visually it was pretty neat... the action scenes were well done.  Fans of the character will enjoy it.  A lot of people are going to think it stinks.  I think it was a solid 6 out of 10.

I actually liked it a lot, but they definitely mess with the comic book history, which will probably irk quite a few people.

Took Jake (15) to see Man of Steel.  He loved it.  I thought it was a real snooze...in fact I almost fell asleep a couple times during the movie, but the loud crashes and rumbling woke me up!   ;)

I told Wally he has to get Superman 1 (Christopher Reeves) so Jake can see what a good Superman story is about..

The theater was mobbed, though, and the early show was sold out.  We bought advance tickets to the next show, and even though we were early, had to sit in the very front section! (It was shown in three of the theaters in this particular complex.

Amazing movie. Well worth it, even if it's not iMax 3D.

Also; I've a fairly large collection of movies (around 400 DVDs, if not more, stopped counting ages ago) and just got the the epitome of laziness: I downloaded a movie because I can't find it.

Really, the internet is awesome. You type the name, click the link, boom.

I think I wrote in about this movie, too.   I agree, Kiorrik....lovely, lovely (beautifully filmed)  movie...for all ages.

I liked 'Pi' too.

Saw Silver Linings Playbook last week.  This is one of those movies that I had high expectations for and the movie didn't live up to what I expected.  It was a 'fun' movie that I thought was supposed to be a great movie.  Jennifer was beautiful and acted well, but this was not an Oscar-worthy performance (IMO).  De niro overplayed his role (as usual per last 20 years). The brother, the doctor, aspects of Cooper's and Lawrence's characters, and the whole dance contest thing were not believable.  BUT, if I saw it as just a fun, average, non-Oscar type movie, I'd say it was pretty good. It's all about what I expected.

AFRICAN QUEEN. what is boondock about, I might order it tonight.
Boondock Saints is about a bunch of regular guys taking it upon themselves to rid Boston of all criminals.

Don't doubt it, just order it. It's my go-to movie when I get visitors that feel like watching a movie and have never seen it.

MUST watch.

I second that post.
