I, on  other hand, even though it was (ahem ahem) before my time, loved Citizen Kane!  I loved the story and the rosebud surprise, and the realization of how the smallest, most innocuous thing can forever  change a life.  Terrific portrayal by the small acting ensemble.
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift...
That is why it is called the present.

u know what i will say, since my star wars love is well known :)

it was great. the 3d effects were good and sharp.  just seeing star wars on the big screen with nice sound is enough for me, even for the worst movie out of the saga.  pod race scene in 3d was great, as was darth maul fight scene at the end

Phantom Menace is a hard movie to rewatch. I agree the podracing was good. The rest was sorta disappointing to me. I don't think the technology is there yet.

headed to the theater with my daughters shortly.  I do love the idea vilify seeing older movies on the big screen.  I don't card so much about the 3d...just the experience being in theater.  Heck I'd go see Jaws, Rocky or whateveron the big screen. Though I guess they do need to throe in the 3d to get most peoples to go.
Yup

i agree.  i think episode 3 will be fantastic in 3d.  but what i really wanna see is the original trilogy on the big screen again, regardless of 3d or not.

I've got to believe that's where this is all headed.  They'll milk it for 6 years.

As it turns out Flixster had the wrong time for the show we went to, so we went to see Journey 2, which was harmlessly entertaining (though the 3D was working sort of strange from where we sitting).
Yup

Planes, trains, and automobiles...Never saw it... Hilarious, its amazing watching an older movie and seeing how many recent movies rip off the classics.

Went two to movies yesterday, The Artist and The Descendents. Since it is a silent movie, it took me a while to get into the artist.  but it is pretty rewarding once you get into it.  The acting is fantastic, and the leading lady is such a doll.

The Descendents is from Alexander Payne, who makes nothing but good movies.  The Descendents is no different.  I was under the assumption that it was more of a comedy, and while it does have a few laughs in it, it is more of a drama.  Clooney does a great job in it as do the supporting actors.
