Tony is our guy. Lets put the past in the past. Him not living up to the hype is behind us now. This is a new season, and a new beginning. So far so good. Keep it up Tony.

P.S. Never EVER bring the ball up.

I've been on the TA bandwagon from day 1.

As long as he continues to play within himself he'll be fine. We certainly will need his production over the next few weeks.

And Stay Focused, TA. No one's asking him to be perfect..just consistent.

I support him.  I just don't think he's very good.

Either way, he had a good game tonight, and if he does that every night then I'm perfectly content with his contributions to the team.

No worries, no offense taken. Look back over the last several days of TA threads....the way the threads are set up, one can argue all day long to keep a player, but everyone has their opinion.

You know, I was thinking about the same way a few weeks or so ago...there was once some thread about Trading KG for Bosh and I felt like I was the only one putting up an argument to keep KG. The thread certainly had some KG supporters, though.

I've liked TA on the Celtics from day one...when I've brought up his positive play the six yrs he's been here, though, every rebuttal during the discussion has always centered on his inconsistency.

My personal stance on any Celtic right now is to not trade them, but everyone has an opinion. I think this team with the players they have can honestly win this year and next, IMO.

I knew this was coming.

TA isn't as bad as his haters would say, but he's not as good as the TA enthusiasts would have you believe.

TA is an average player, a below average ball handler, an above average slasher, a below average shooter, and an above average defender. His IQ is below average as well.

We've all seen TA do some amazing things--along with some amazingly stupid things.
He is a catch-22 player---you gotta give him minutes for him to be effective, but when he gets those minutes, he ALWAYS gets hurt....I'm just hoping he can stay healthy til Marquis gets back, just in time for the trading deadline.

TA is a really good passer though...and I love to see him drive to the hoop---it's chaos, but it's fun.

Trade the guy! Hell even Scal has been way more valuable to us than TA!

Tony  had a good game. If he continues to contribute like that he is a team asset. They are short of good wing players and he is better than JR Giddens or Billy Walker. Pierce and Allen generally play too many miutes, so Tony's good play only helps to keep them better rested......but to tell the truth is this: Not Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, or Kevin Garnett but Rajon Rondo is the engine of this team and its MVP. Tony Allen and all of 'em have no value without Rondo. So, Tony yeah! all we want, let's pray Rajon stays healthy.
