overpaid everyday of the week, overrated also, yeah I'm a Celtic fan for 20 years, but he's overrated, nobody who can't step up and took a shot and win you the game at the end, don't deserve this kind of money, he gets. Let him to improve his shot and then talk for him, now many players in the league can do what he do for less money, to distribute the ball, and steal the ball, do you realise with who he is playing, PP, RA, KG, even I and you can dish 7-8 assists a game with those guys. I don't want to dissrespect the guy, he's very good, but most of our fans, think him for something so special... and he's far from that, if he's on another team, he will be a lot worse. So basically two things:

1) Rondo need to upgrade his jumpshot
(you can't argue with that), the boy can't make a shot even if you point a gun to his head

2) We'll see what player is Rondo, when the Big Three retire, when he'll be the man, the capitan of the team, well that's what I want, because now he's in Big Three's shadown, everything he do is up on them, we'll see can he be the man when they left, and he has to step up and be the man

Based on this logic, you'd give Eddie House the big paycheck and not Rondo. ::)
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

In a few weeks when he has a bad game, he'll be overpaid.

In a few weeks when he has a bad game, he'll be overpaid.

And if he has 2-3 bad games it will show that he's regressed as a player because of a poor attitude and  we can hear yet again that we'd probably be better off with the likes of Luke Ridnour, Steve Blake, Mike Conley, Ray Felton or Chris Duhon.

Just curious, but how many players do steal the ball and distribute the ball as well as Rondo for less money?

And you should give Danny a call. Sounds like you're ready to contribute more than Cassell, Marbury or House in our next playoff run. If you look around and see a league full of point guards that can pass, rebound and defend as well as Rondo you don't know what you're watching.

Only 7 players in the entire NBA average 7+ assists per game. If only 7 players in the entire NBA are good enough (or are allowed to have the ball enough) to manage it I think it is a lot harder than you suppose.

The list is:
Steve Nash
Chris Paul
Deron Williams
Rajon Rondo
Jason Kidd
LeBron James
Baron Davis

(Russell Westbrook is at 6.9 and Gilbert Arenas is at 6.8)

That's a pretty [dang] good list wouldn't you say?

I was going to pile on Tough Juice too, but its already been done.

Rondos dimes aren't just him passing to the wing for a J.   Most of them are him breaking his man down and making excellent decisions.   Many also appear to be set plays, which we seem to be running much better/efficiently this year.    Our O has been problematic in the past 2 years.  He can play the system and venture on his own to create shots out of seemingly nothing.    Right now, he's J-Kidd 2.0, and if your still complaining about his J, you aren't watching.   Granted he only takes them when he's completely open or with shot clock running down (drops your %), but he's made massive strides.   He wouldn't even take them 2 years ago!

This dude can't be measured in stats and thats the beauty of basketball.

It might drop your %, and it might not be the way a scorer would do it... but let's be honest: we don't want him to take any other shots. He doesn't need to create his own shots. He's the purest point guard there is, and we should love him for taking exactly those shots:

- the totally uncontested ones where he's purposely left alone;
- the ones taken at the very end of the shotclock.

Any other shots he takes, right now, are unwanted. We have Ray, KG, Paul and some bench people for shots.
