Refs have made a real effort to swallow those whistles when it comes to calls for the C's this half. Especially the guy under the Wiz net. Is that Crawford?? Whoever it is, he's had a horrible half missing and making calls on that end.

He will probably hit a shot after I type this, but for the last 2-3 weeks, Eddie House and been less than worthless. I am really worried about this bench.

Hopefully this game will quiet down the TA haters for awhile. A couple of turnovers, but he is playing great D on Butler and has 8 points I believe.
Won't keep me quiet...he's a brain dead basketball player having a decent night. For every good play, he has a bad one.

So I guess he can't ever do anything right? Hopefully he fills in well for Quisy and most of the haters will quiet down.

You act as if the hate is unwarranted. He can do things right, but the problem is how many things he does wrong. He has a long history of inconsistency and making the "dumb play" and because he had one of the good games his type is destined to have, you seem to think it should "shut up the haters"?

When do people ever address that he does have good games? All I hear is that he is "brain dead" a "terrible basketball player" "awful" etc etc. I don't think saying those things are really fair. Yes he's inconsistent but that doesn't mean that he can't help us out in some games. He is a bench player and will be filling the void of another injured bench player (a person more fragile than TA himself). What do people want out of him? He's like a 10th 11th 12th man. If Bill Walker was doing what TA is doing tonight people would be wetting their pants

I just did. TA has great games. He has great streaks where he gets well into the teens for 5 or 6 games at a time. But he doesn't do it consistently and the reason is because he's kinda brain dead when it comes to basketball. I think it inspires a particularly adverse reaction because he's got everything it takes physically to be a star. But when he plays bad, man, he looks like he doesn't belong in the D-League.

By the way, a 10th, 11th, or 12th man just isn't a great player in the NBA. They're the kind that should really only get much run in big foul games or in case of injury. So it's not surprising that a lot of people are unhappy to see him.

If Walker or co. did so well, yeah, people would be happy because it would be a rookie that people expect to develop. Tony...we're passed that point. Different standards for different stages.

scal no play time..doc feel he cant run with the brothas?

I wish we could combine him and Shelden into one player. Scal can't get any rebounds and Shelden can't guard on the perimeter at all.

Doc needs to watch out for the best interests of the team. That means winning an NBA championship. If he thinks that he needs to rest his starters more during games like this rather then run them ragged to get a (semi) meaningless win than I am all for it. The starters will still be at their avg mpg if not more anyway. We don't want people in May and June saying Doc shouldn't have been playing these guys so heavily like last year

Big ups to Tony Allen, I usually give him a hard time, but he's done certain things well tonight.  Still a bunch of mental bumbles as is requisite with a normal TA appearance.

tony would need to play this type of game for several weeks for me to have any faith in him

Hey, I'm never gonna

being a fan u have faith in everybody from starters to bench...

No way. Not at all. Being a fan does not mean ignoring reality.

i feel ya..but you dont down your team..im still a detroit lions fan...cheer them on regardless..

I'll always cheer them on, but when they disappoint me I'm gonna call them on it. And when things are going badly for the team because of a specific player I'm not gonna be too happy with that player, much less have faith.

That guy's not TA now...it's Eddie, quite frankly. And it hurts to say how bad it sucks to have to watch him right now, because I've had great times with Eddie.

But man, I don't want him on the floor right now.

(Right on cue, a jumper from Eddie hits)

Edit: Actually, ironically enough, I won't always cheer them on. Any time TA was doing his part to winning a rare game in '06, I wanted him to do worse. I'm not gonna say I'm glad he got hurt in '07, but I certainly felt some consolation in the fact we had one less guy scoring 20 for us.
