Been reading bout how Mike James is on the block, and Miami needs a guard, but neither side want anything back except expirings. We got a couple of those

Boston gets James Jones and Deshawn Stevenson

Miami gets Mike James and JR Giddens

Washington gets Dorell Wright, Tony, and Scalabrine

Salary works just right per NBA trade machine. Just in case each team didn't want to lose some talent, we could throw in a 2nd rounder for each team, but I think it would be great for all team involved. Plus it frees up a roster spot for us so we can sign a big man for the playoffs in February.

Rondo, Daniels, Hudson
Ray, House, Stevenson
Pierce, Jones, Walker
KG, BBD
Perk, Sheed, Sheldon
Can't stop, Rondo!

  • Rondo = Good
Doesn't sound too bad but if we're going to make a trade we need to get a real backup PG back, in my opinion.

Miami gives away two guys who can actually contribute a little to add a 3rd string point-guard and a 15th man?

Yeah, I read that bit on ESPN as well.

What the author neglected to mention is that Miami doesn't need a third team to get involved if they wait until mid-January, when Arroyo can be traded.

Miami can package 6 small, expiring contracts for Mike James: Arroyo, Diawara, Anthony, Magloire, Quinn, and Shavlik Randolph. Of course, Miami ought to include cash, a draft pick, or some other consideration to make it worth Washington's while, since few of those 6 players are really worth a roster spot. Washington could cut anyone they didn't want.

The only guys Miami might miss out of all that flotsam might be Anthony and Magloire, as backups to JO in the middle. And if Washington cut them, they could easily find their way back to South Beach.

No.

I dont want James Jones on this team at all!

I live in Indiana, and I've seen plenty of games when he was with the pacers, my brother lives in phx, and watched and went to many games when he in phx. Our consensus= (horrible)

He cant do anything other than shoot, and he can't do that well. He had one good shooting season in Indiana, and all of a sudden he forgot to develop the rest of his game. His shooting stroke is so suspect. If people get upset because Ray Allen's Jumper disappears for about 2 or 3 games, then you dont want James Jones, his jumper disappears for about 10-15 games. (not an exaggeration either, I have seen it with my own eyes)
