The Spurs need to trade Richard Jefferson to a fast-break type team.  Any ideas?
How about to Phoenix for Barbosa and Dudley.

I don't think it's going to work out in San Antonio.

I am going back and forth on this.  Clearly something is not working, but it could just be him taking longer to get comfortable with the complicated system.

The problem with trading him is that it is going to be tough for them to get good enough talent back for him.

The one team I think they should look at is New Orleans.  Who knows, they may convince them to go for something like Jefferson and Blair for Posey and West.

Interesting idea. Apparently West and Paul are not too tight, so I'm sure the Hornets would welcome it.

Not sure I see Pop doing that deal tho. Posey's contract is not the kind of thing San An takes on...

It is just one year longer than Jefferson's, and half as much money.  While you may be right, I think they would have to consider it.  I think the tougher thing will be convincing New Orleans to consider it, since it doesn't save them any money for 2 years.

I love the idea of seeing Dudley coming off the bench for a title contender like San Antonio.  However, I just don't see Barbosa gelling with the Spurs, at all.

Yeah, Barbosa is not a fit at all.  He has a bad contract, and he plays the position they are probably deepest at (PG).

One move I could see them doing is going after a package of Nocioni and Kenny Thomas.  Nocioni would fit in well there, and Kenny Thomas saves them some cash.

Or maybe they can work something out with Dallas to get Josh Howard.

Yes but the way Posey is playing -- Jefferson is more than twice the player. Question: does the deal save the Hornets THIS year? If it gets them closer to the lux tax threshold (ala the Okafor trade), that could be a motivating factor. But if remember correctly the salarys match up here to be pretty close -- maybe only a $100K difference.

I think the Spurs are going to be a team that turns it on at the end of the year.  They've had a tough schedule so far.  They've already played Utah 3 times and Dallas twice.  They've had to play the C's, Denver, as well as Portland.  Sure they lost to Oklahoma City, but Oklahoma City is going to be a team that beats a lot of good teams this year.  I think Jefferson will be just as fine as soon as the match ups start getting a little better for the Spurs.  It's tough for him, he's really the #4 option on the team while last year he was the #1 option.
