need perspective. I figure we're like 9s or something these days.

But who made me that way!

I can definitely say that New York and Boston sports radio and print media is eerily similar

I'd put Boston a tick below New York in this regard, and thus voted "8".  I've had the pleasure of experiencing the best and worst of Boston, Philly, and New York fans, and in my humble opinion nothing is as grating as Yankees fans.  (Mets fans are a different breed, and I tend to respect them.)

Also where do other towns register?

I gotta put LA at maybe 7 or something. They don't have an NFL team and I don't think they're very demanding towards their NHL team

This is actually more complicated than I originally thought. The same Yankees fans are Knicks fans. Seems impossible but true.

many of them are Nets fans.  They definitely have a love of hockey from time to time. Devils and Rangers.

Maybe Philly fans are worst.

I may rethink this. I find sometimes our beloved sports writers are not only demanding of our own teams, but condescending to others.  I place myself as Marie Antoinettish, but I don't think most fans around me are that bad, but I found a lot of Yankees fans to be in that spectrum

I know that's the reputation, but I think the meat head element of the fan base is really blown out of proportion.  I've seen a lot more arrogant Boston fans than I have Philly ones.  New York, though, by far tops both.

I guess spoiled is slightly different than violent. Arrogant. Definitely a close cousin

I just can't imagine Sox fans throwing batteries at someone. Not even Rocker. I wonder if Rocker would have had something like that in any town, though
