Review is over ... and so is the game ... it was a pick. That's the worst decision Brady has ever made ... there was not a receiver anywhere near that pass ... I'm disgusted ... TOTALLY disgusted. Where have my Pats gone?!?  :'(

We just have to accept that the Patriots are not the same team anymore.  We were 11-5 last season and didn't make the playoffs - it wasn't just because we didn't have Brady.  This team is on the decline.

We'll hopefully make the playoffs this year but we'll be lucky to win a single game.

The loss of Seymour was so much more than just his talent on the field ... he was the heart and soul of the D along with Teddy and Rodney, but even losing the other players, they would have remained strong if they'd kept Richard, IMHO.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY MADDENING.  The Saints game is coming down to the wire and I have to watch the beginning of the stupid Cowboys and Giants game....

Completely ridiculous!

Makes for one sad Sunday in December.

wow. what happened to this team. are we really this bad.

did BB really think that the team would do well with losing all these Vets.

bad moves on the off season. everybody was saying that we were too old. id take the old guys back any day

I think the organization must have decided to make this year a rebuilding year.  We traded away a bunch of veterans and amassed a bunch of future picks.  I think they must have decided that the team wouldn't be dominant with Brady just coming back from a year off so they'd better rebuild and try to lengthen their window.

That's the only positive spin I can put on this.  The Patriots just look like crap the last month or so.  They are old news in the NFL at the moment.

Sadly, I think you're correct ... that's the only rationale I can come up with for why they have done what they've done. But you would think they'd have left Seymour, at least, to keep the heart and emotional presence going ... and the timing of that whole thing was just horrible ... at the last minute they lose their defensive leader and tell al these new guys "Hey, you're on your own ... Seymour's gone!" ... wow, it blew me away, so I can't imagine what it did to the team.

I like the spin, but I don't buy it.  In retrospect the Seymour decision was perhaps a bad one, but way too early to say (but hard not to speculate coming on two back to back losses).  I just think that the Pats organization really feels like it doesn't need to go all-in in any given year.  I think they are probably right; you never know what will transpire in football (eg: an injury to a key player can really change how well some teams do and how poorly other do).

Yeah, the loss sucks, especially to Miami, but this is football -- this is what is so frustrating from game to game, year to year.

As to the loss of Bruschi and Harrison -- let's be honest, these guys were done.  If they had more play in them, they would be on the field, either for the Pats or someone else.

If Belichek keeps going for it on fourth down, the Pats might not make the playoffs...If he would have kicked a FG when he had a chance, they may have won this game.

What's perhaps more troubling is what's going on with Bellichick recently.

He's constantly going for it on 4th down early in the game, often at the goal line.  We could have won this game if we had just taken a field goal in the first half instead of going for it.

Bellichick also hasn't shown much of his "defensive genius" so far this year.

I like going for it on 4th down, especially when it's only inches, like it was the first time ... but the problem is they use the WRONG PLAY! Brady is a master at the QB Sneak, but we haven't used it for ages ... I don't get it ... that play saved us so many times, and now they don't use it at all ... crazy.

The way I see it is that this is further evidence of something that should be obvious by now.....the Patriots suck, partly because their players suck and partly cause their coaches suck

They used to not suck, but now they do   :'(

Yep.  There appears to be a strong likelihood of them finishing 10-6 or 9-7.  I have serious doubts about this team beating Buffalo or Houston on the road after not winning a single true road game so far this year.

We might actually miss the playoffs with Tom Brady and Bellichick at the helm.  Has that ever happened?

Okay, no QB sneak on 4th and 1, and how many times has TB run out of the pocket this year? I cannot recall any, so if he has, it has been minimal.

Teams know that they can rush TB and he is just a target back there. So, either he (a) delivers a perfect pass to his receivers; (b) it is an incomplete pass; (c) there is an interception; or (d) a sack. 3 out of 4 are good options for the opposing D.

Also, when is Randy Moss going to fight for a pass against a DB? That interception in the end zone clearly could have been tipped away if nothing else.

Yeah.  When are people going to start asking questions about why Randy Moss gets to miss practices?  He could clearly use the practice...

They knew who and what Moss was when they traded for him.
