are their any teams you's like to have a different name(like the nets probably)? what would you change them to?
i'd change the heat to the orangemen first off(every league but the nba has a team called the orangemen. i'd bring back the washington bullets. not sure after that.

A little OT but this question reminded of the article a while back that made new logos for all the teams

Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

What other Orangemen are in other leagues?  Even Syracuse basketball is officially "The Orange"  ::) now.  It'd be cool to see one in the NBA though. I don't think DC will ever bring the Bullets back unless gang violence goes way, way down.

Let's see - I'd like to give the Jazz back to NO as others have said, and give the Lakers back to Minny.  Oh and I'd make the Knicks call themselves the Knickerbockers at all times.

For proper renames, how about the Orlando Mirage?  And after Griffin's injury on top of all the other rookies who've been hurt there, I'd rename the Clippers the Clipped Wings.

I'd change the Wizards to the Bullets.

There's a lot of others but I can't come up with anything good right now

Maybe I'd make a mafia reference.  The New Jersey Dons or Sopranos or something

I like Native American references when it's accurate and the tribe supports it. Like the FSU Seminoles, but I don't really know my geographical tribes that well.  The Phoenix Apaches? I also like various cultural and ethnic names like the Celtics so the Utah Mormons or the Utah Missionaries would actually be something I'd like. It may sound odd to you, but I respect it. It takes a certain amount of guts to do what they do rain, sleet, or shine.

And they need to get rid of various animal names, like the dolphins or animals that live nowhere near the city like the Lions or Tigers

LA Lakers - LA Glitz
LA Clipper - Afterthought
Raptors - Anything besides their ridiculous Jurassic Park name.
Wizards - Bullets
Nets - Can't Hit The Nets
Thunder - Bandits
Bobcats - Charlatans.  I know it's not really a positive term, but I still like it.
Miami - Retirees

Just some thoughts.
