I am creeping up on my first star! Related to the NBA milestones I don't find them all that exciting for the career variety for the most part. It just reminds me our players are nearing the end of their careers and I get a little bummed.

If Paul plays in all 82 remaining games, and keeps his average of 18 points per, he'll just squeak out 20 grand before the end of the season.

I think it would be kind of cool to see him score his 20,000th NBA point to close out the regular season.

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Phew!  Busy, busy month.  Have some time to update this now, and some things have actually happened since the last time, so here we go.

Milestone Update: Since the last post:

Paul Pierce has passed Gail Goodrich and Eddie Johnson and is now 42nd all-time in scoring.  He needs 38 points to pass Bob Lanier, and 50 to pass Terry Cummings and move into the Top 40.

Ray Allen is now within 200 3pt makes of the all-time record held by Reggie Miller.  He is on pace to get there sometime late next year.

Rasheed Wallace has passed Mark West for 33rd all-time in blocks.  He's got 51 to go to move up another spot, so I'll leave him off the updates til he gets close.

Next up:  Here's the closest ones for each guy - now including our young bucks.

KG:
80 pts shy of passing Larry Bird for 24th all-time.
52 rebounds from passing Dennis Rodman for 20th all-time.
13 blocks from passing Elvin Hayes for 19th all-time.
5 steals from passing Dennis Johnson for 35th all-time.

Pierce:
38 points from passing Bob Lanier for 41st all-time.
11 steals from passing TR Dunn and moving into the Top 50 all-time.

Rondo needs just 2 steals to reach 500 for his career.  He'll be climbing the all-time lists in steals and assists before we know it.

And a new feature I like to call

PERKWATCH!

As you may or may not know, Perk is making a serious run at the team record for FG% in a season, currently held by Cedric Maxwell.  I'll keep track of his progress here.

Perk's current %: 63.7
Max's record %: 60.9

Perk needs 114 more FG makes to qualify for the record (this is important as he would've had the record 2 years ago, but didn't make enough shots to qualify).  He is well on pace to do so, however.

I'm hoping Perk sets the single season record most of all.

The all-time list climbing will definitely happen, I want Perkins to get that record.

This IS an awesome thread. TP fairweather.

Perk is my DOGG!
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Milestone Update: Since the last post:

Rajon Rondo got his 500th steal.  Many, many more of those to come I'm sure.

Next up:  Here's the closest ones for each guy.

KG:
80 pts shy of passing Larry Bird for 24th all-time.
52 rebounds from passing Dennis Rodman for 20th all-time.
13 blocks from passing Elvin Hayes for 19th all-time.
5 steals from passing Dennis Johnson for 35th all-time.

Pierce:
14 points from passing Bob Lanier for 41st all-time.
26 from also passing Terry Cummings for 40th.
9 steals from passing TR Dunn and moving into the Top 50 all-time.

Rasheed Wallace needs 18 points to pass Bobby Dandridge and Dennis Johnson and enter the top 100 all-time scorers.

And now...

PERKWATCH!

As you may or may not know, Perk is making a serious run at the team record for FG% in a season, currently held by Cedric Maxwell.  I'll keep track of his progress here, as well as his trek to finish first in the NBA for the season..

Perk's current %: 63.9
Mark Gasol (2nd in league): 61.1
Max's record %: 60.9

Perk needs 107 more FG makes to qualify for the record (this is important as he would've had the record 2 years ago, but didn't make enough shots to qualify).  He is well on pace to do so, however.

Milestone Update: Since the last post:

Paul Pierce passed Bob Lanier for 41st all-time in scoring.  Next up is Terry Cummings who is 181 pts away (misread the list in the last update)

Rasheed Wallace passed Dennis Johnson and is now one of the top 100 scorers of all-time.  I won't update individual guys he passes, but he's within 40 pts of Artis Gilmore, Walt Frazier, and Terry Porter, so he'll continue to climb for awhile.

KG's numbers actually changed!  Good to have him back.

Next up:  Here's the closest ones for each guy.

KG:
67 pts shy of passing Larry Bird for 24th all-time.
48 rebounds from passing Dennis Rodman for 20th all-time.
11 blocks from passing Elvin Hayes for 19th all-time.
5 steals from passing Dennis Johnson for 35th all-time.

Pierce:
181 points from passing Terry Cummings for 41st all-time.
6 steals from passing TR Dunn and moving into the Top 50 all-time.

Ray Allen:
183 points from passing Mitch Richmond for 31st all-time.

And now...

PERKWATCH!

As you may or may not know, Perk is making a serious run at the team record for FG% in a season, currently held by Cedric Maxwell.  I'll keep track of his progress here, as well as his trek to finish first in the NBA for the season..

Perk's current %: 63.7
Max's record %: 60.9
Dwight Howard (2nd in league): 60.5

Perk needs 102 more FG makes to qualify for the record (this is important as he would've had the record 2 years ago, but didn't make enough shots to qualify).  He is well on pace to do so, however.

My final update before I go to a convention in Vegas (!).  I'll update again early next week.

Milestone Update: Since the last post:

Not much, we're kind of in a lull right now.  I'd expect some movement after the 3 games this weekend though.

Next up:  Here's the closest ones for each guy.

KG:
50 pts shy of passing Larry Bird for 24th all-time.
46 rebounds from passing Dennis Rodman for 20th all-time.
11 blocks from passing Elvin Hayes for 19th all-time.
5 steals from passing Dennis Johnson for 35th all-time.

Pierce:
159 points from passing Terry Cummings for 40th all-time.
6 steals from passing TR Dunn and moving into the Top 50 all-time.

Ray Allen:
168 points from passing Mitch Richmond for 31st all-time.

And now...

PERKWATCH!

As you may or may not know, Perk is making a serious run at the team record for FG% in a season, currently held by Cedric Maxwell.  I'll keep track of his progress here, as well as his trek to finish first in the NBA for the season..

Perk's current %: 63.3
Max's record %: 60.9
Marc Gasol (2nd in league): 60.4

Perk is slipping a bit but we all know he can get there - go Perk!

Perk needs 98 more FG makes to qualify for the record (this is important as he would've had the record 2 years ago, but didn't make enough shots to qualify).  He is well on pace to do so, however.
