I've realized we don't have a milestones thread this year, and I haven't seen this posted anywhere yet, so I thought this would be a good time to point out that some of our guys are very, very close to some major milestones.  We could see 4 or 5 significant achievements in the next game alone!  Here's the scoop:

Ray Allen: 27 pts from 20,000.

Paul Pierce: 25 pts from 19,000.  1 3 pter from breaking a tie w/Brent Barry for 14th all-time.

KG: 11 pts from passing Hal Greer and entering the Top 25 scorers of all time.  1 Block from breaking a tie w/Artis Gilmore and entering the Top 20 all-time.

I'll try to keep updating this as they keep climbing the list, but there's a lot to look out for over the next game or two.

Wow I think 4 of those 5 have a very good chance of happening in the next game.

Wow by the end of his career KG is gonna have the stats to argue himself into the top 10 players of all time.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

In all likelihood KG will retire in the top 20 all-time for points, rebounds and blocks, in the top 25 for steals, and top 50 for assists.  Coming out of high school skews his career numbers relative to someone like Duncan, but on pure numbers he'll have one of the most impressive stat lines ever.

Regardless, Top 25 in steals for a BIGMAN is ridiculous!!!

True - there's only 3 big men (Barkley, Karl Malone, Olajuwon) and 1 1/2 small forwards (Pippen and Eddie Jones) on the list - all the rest are guards.  Top 50 assists for a big man is pretty impressive too when you think of all the great PGs through the years.

I'd say KG for 11 and 1 block are just about guaranteed as well as a 3 pointer from Pierce.

Pierce for 25 is iffy (we know he'll get really close), and Ray for 27 is a bit of a longshot(Ray doesn't score in the high 20s to often).

Sure, why not? :)

Eddie Jones surprises me.  I know he had some good years, but I also remember him being oft-injured and slowed down considerably over the last years of his career.  My memory may be off, but I just would never have pictured him on an all-time list.
