If the Saints keep their focus, they could very easily finish undefeated.  Their remaining schedule:

@Redskins
@Atlanta
vs. Dallas
vs. Tampa Bay
@ Carolina

Atlanta and Dallas are the only challenges, and I don't think either can stay with this team if the Saints are focused.

What an embarrassment this game is. The Saints are definitely the best team in the NFL, and it hurts me to say it but the Pats just might not be that good this year.

I just hope the Saints and the Colts at least lose a game each before the season ends.

I could see both the Saints and the Colts going undefeated... it's a shame the Patriots couldn't stop them, would have been nice if they protected their record.

The Colts could get there, but I think they'll stumble in one of the next three weeks.  A Colts/Saints undefeated Super Bowl would pretty much be the most hyped matchup of all time, though.

Losing Seymour was such a huge void to overcome ... his spirit was such a big part of this team ... and Vrabel and Bruschi and Harrison ... I mean, what a group of players to lose.

Yeah, no doubt.  The Pats got very good value for Seymour, but in the end I would have paid the guy.  He was an anchor.

Very much so ... not just his talents, but he was the defensive heart of this team along with Teddy. Maybe it's time to get Charlie Weis back ... I hear he's available. ;)

If this Saints team goes undefeated and keeps blowing teams out, the 07 Patriots team will be overlooked for all eternity.

Wow. The only game that really jumps out at me is the @Atlanta. Matt Ryan might not even play, or will be not close to 100% with this new turf toe injury. I'm sure there will be a game like the Pats faced when Baltimore came into Foxboro during the regular season in 07 that really tests them, but I could definitely see them pull this out.

I really think the last-minute Seymour trade was the dagger this year ... it just took the wind out of the sails. I remember thinking at the time what a huge void it would create, and how it would undermine the spirit of this defense ... and team as a whole.

I think the patriots are good, but the saints are otherworldly. IT's like watching 2007 all over again... i dont see anyone in the NFC stopping them this year. I think they'll go into the SB undefeated.

Anyone watching the recap? Wow ... they were holding Welker and Moss on almost every play ... I'm amazed they're not talking about it. They're discussing the great pass coverage by the Saints and they were getting away with all kinds of violations! Probably wouldn't have made much difference, but it was really very obvious. (Excuses, excuses ... it's part of being a loyal fan). ;)

Just another game. We all know doesn't mean anything unless you win the superbowl. Still plenty of time for the Pats to get it together. Lets see how the Saints and Colts do when the pressure actually heats up.

The problem for the Pats is that their defense (and to some extent their offensive line) have some fundamental flaws that aren't going to be fixed by January.

I've never seen a Pat's defensive unit make so many glaring mistakes.

I can't remember the last time I saw a Pats team get punched in the mouth like that.  Oh wait. Yes I can. That game where Drew Bledsoe's lung got collapsed.
