I think the Celtics could get him as of next year. He can opt out of his contract this year or i believe it expires after this season. I think he could come to us on a 3 year MLE deal that could get him to around 16 mil. for those 3 years. He could jump in the starting lineup with the Celtics or even come off the bench. What do you think of this idea?!

After this year Rip is signed for 3 more years at $12.5 million per year with the last year of the contract 2012-13 is not 100% guaranteed. The team could release him from there before a certain point and only pay a certain percentage of the $12.5 million but I can't find the percentage.

I'd rather have Ray next year. And i think that we can resign Ray for less than what RIP's gonna make.

Though if we could trade Ray for Rip and Prince I would do that in a heartbeat.

In 2K10 he was a FA? Strange they must not have his new contract. Never mind to that idea.

Trade Ray's 19 Mil this year? Hmmm..

If you combined Ray's expiring along with Kwame and Oberto's... i think that could put the Pistons in the LBJ market. That could be dangerous.

Stuckey, Gordan, James, Villanueva, Old Ben.

Thats championship stuff  :-\

Championship stuff?! That isn't even close to a title squad. Big Ben is washed up, Stuckey is at best a tier 2 PG, Gordon is a ball hog that is a liability on the defensive side of the ball, Villanueva is at best a tier 2 PF. That team isn't any better, and quite honestly is likely quite a bit worse, than his current team. No way Lebron goes to that group of rag tag players...

$9 million of that $12.5 million is guaranteed. Becomes fully guaranteed if not waived by the first of July that year.

how would you rate this lineup?

Mo Williams, Delonte West, Lebron James, Verajao, Big Z.

because i think that pistons lineup is MUCH better.

Not to mention that Big Ben is not washed up your just not watching. Ben's Points are down because he's just not shooting the ball, the washed up dude grabbed 18 board the other night. Thats the type of Center you want with a lineup full of scorers.

Ben Gordan's lack of defense isn't any worse than Mo Williams. And with James/Villa/Wallace in support it'd be fine.

No chance that "Detroit" squad beats the CAVS squad. Bens points are down because he is one of the worst offensive players in the history of the game and the older and slower he gets the worse he gets. Once in a blue moon he will have a great rebounding night. He is so slow footed on defense that I could drive past him these days. Big Z is averaging 7 and 6 even with Shaq now on the squad taking a bunch of his minutes. He is a true offensive threat and can rebound well considering he's fairly slow. I take him 10 out of 10 times over washed up Ben.

I will give you a wash on Williams and Gordon, and maybe DWEST and Stuckey are a wash as well. (unless he stays on this insane trip of course) Varaejo is the perfect compliment to Lebron as he is a clean up type player. His 7 and 8 are so much better than Villanueva considering that he doesn't require the ball to get them.

That's the two big men being much better for their squad as they don't require the ball out of Lebron's hands to be effective. For that I don't think it is even close...
