Where's Darius Miles?

We had him last year in preseason...looked okay. Got cut b/c he didn't feel the need at the time(since Tony was such a better option at SF  ) He went to the Griz, worked all year, then this summer they renounced his rights. He played well for them, but I couldn't imagine their need for him as they'll never make noise in the playoffs etc.
His game is pretty similar to Gerald Wallace, and we love that guy. He was also known as a great ball handler. My idea of looking into him would be for defense and slashing - drive to the hole for either a dunk or kick it back out to Sheed or House for 3. Any takers or at least an invite for workouts?

My friend is an incredible swimmer and he smokes pot every weekend. Michael Phelps also smokes (or smoked). Having weed doesn't prove you to be a bad egg, and I don't think it means he's "not serious" or "not committed". I think he just likes weed, and really, you can still stay in shape and everything if you get high from time to time. I'd still give him a shot.

This is more or less the responses I was hoping for ; some sort of update on his smoking issues, and that there's still support for him out there.
Remember, there's a good number of players in the NBA that get high ; Josh Howard, Birdman, etc. I don't do that myself, but I won't hold that stuff against a talented player.

Too bad... 

I don't hold a pot bust against the guy personally, but understand why that might keep him on the outside of the NBA, especially since with his injury history, he'd be on the fringe of a roster to begin with.  I was glad to get to see him play with the C's in a preseason game in Manchester a while back.  He definitely still has the ability to play...

I have to give a TP to any team (like the C's, Pacers, and Blazers) who refuses to roster players who can't stay out of trouble, i.e. no guns, drugs, or unsavory combinations (stripclubs and guns, guns and drugs, etc.). 

Playing in the NBA is and should be a priviledge.
